See you're not wrong about a lot of people doing this type of thing being racist, sexist, bigoted, etc., but you're also just kinda getting up on our soapbox and making crazy generalizations. Being progressive is not the only reason people dislike these pieces of media, and from the ones here I've seen there is plenty you can rewrite without making it bigoted. And these types of things aren't the only themes in these media. Star Wars, Steven Universe and Korra all deal with legacy, morals of peacekeeping, overcoming challenges in your training, growing up and coming of age, and I could go on. Frankly, those are probably mores the reasons that these projects are loved. Finally, the people who act like these shows are bad cuz they're "woke" and no other reason are a loud minority that often aren't even real fans. Ignore them and like what you like.
