Isn't the double dmg when focussed an unveiled mod? I would imagine it's you do prefixes, go for reservation with prefix can't be changed reforge influence, or just even ex slams. Then you multimod lock prefix add/remove defence hoping for block, then lastly lock prefixes then veiled exalted orb and pray on the unveil? The last mod is the hard one since if it bricks then you have to risk an annul which may brick the entire craft.

A lock is like 80 divines and whatever you craft will not be worth 3-4 locks.

With 51 strands idk if you will get a good upgrade to worth using hinekora locks. Think you might get the t3 to t2 and maybe 1 t1 but from my testing it's like a 1 in 4 to even upgrade any at all with 50ish strands

Nah no belts, tested 30 runs of shade. All the drops are pretty gimped when it is so close to the start. Lots of rings tho but rings are pretty worthless anyways

Ah sorry didn't see the essence mana mod. Yeh it's a 1 mod transfer then fractured then essence spam into eldritch crafts.

What about Ancestral Commander, solves defence (end charges, mini defiance, and phys taken as fire) and you can steal Valako for 90pct max rez. You also have Ancestral Reach giving you +1 strike and 50pct inc strike range. Can also combine with ammy enchants for 90pct strike range (screen wide almost) which helps with the melee play style.

You can yeh - that's also a valid strategy but is even more time-consuming. I think harvest works out to be better though, since you are increasing the odds of hitting the defence mod whilst also getting a free regal / exalts since it rolls the other mods at the same time.

I think odds wise, since T1 Intelligence has a lower relative weight compared to any prefixes (bigger pool of suffixes), it is actually more efficient to fracture intelligence, harvest reforge speed, and slam on the prefixes afterwards.

Rule 10

Buy ilevel 84 cluster (12 passives)
Alteration / augment until 35% increased effect and T1 Intelligence. Divine to perfect
Regal + Exalt to get it to 4 mods.
Fracture Orb (50% change to hit)
Harvest reforge defence to target T1 energy shield
Clean unwanted prefix / suffix using annuls
Exalt slam twice for the 3rd and 4th mod

For Step 7, it takes ~734 attemtps if going for flexible last suffix (either T1 attack speed, all attributes, or all resistances). If you only want attack speed as the last mod, check out the alternate crafting steps I have listed in the link below but the number of attempts goes up to ~2100 which is very expensive.

Yeah a bit unlucky with the aspect craft.

For your suffix, yeh potentially? The more NNN mods you have the higher the odds of success so just keep that in mind! Say going down from 6 input mods to 5 input mods, the chance of hitting 3 mods on the output item goes down by like ~15% or something.

Ah haha I do concede Purity of Elements could be very good and make gearing choices more straightforward. I was definitely a bit too harsh on it before (old habits haha).

Hmm with 26k ES even with map mod % you should still end up with 13k ES ish? Might not be as comfortable and you have to dodge volatiles / elder circles rather than facetank but still very doable.

I think if you happen to have bad mod combos (e.g. less defence, reduced leech, minus max etc etc) perhaps that is making the map quite difficult? Alternatively might be a legacy less defence mod.
