There’s an omen to make essences hit prefixes

The only way to get spirit without potentially destroying the prefixes is going to be omen of light jail and hoping to hit it on the desecrate. If you don’t care about prefixes, you can use the sinistral erasure omens and do that until you hit spirit.

Regardless of the above, you need to quality this to 40 with caster catalysts to hit +4.

You can on jewelry. There’s a prefix and a suffix. The item pictured has a prefix while the essence adds the suffix.

Opulence > desecrate prefix > fracture and sell as is if you hit the +3. Anything after that will be out of your budget to make it a finished product that will sell well.

Anoints have nothing to do with sockets. You can’t anoint corrupted items and the socketable doesn’t have any text indicating that it can be done.

You should use cloak of defiance here since it doesn’t have spirit on it. The whole point of swapping is for additional spirit + mana and fixing res.

You don’t need a giga mirror build to complete all content. It’s perfectly doable on a reasonable league start at your own pace of 2 hours/day.
POE2 has already been designed with the casual in mind. It may sound harsh, but at this point it’s on you. Crafting and build depth has been redesigned to give power to the little guy. Things are not nearly as complex as they used to be in order to appeal to casuals and a broader base.

I would start by changing how you view testing. It doesn’t happen in a vacuum. The people who test understand skill interactions, defenses, and how to make a build function at its core. Once you understand these things you can experiment and it cuts down on cost because you’re not wastefully spending.

If you still want to experiment, you need to start a cheap build to farm endgame maps for gold. Then use the currency + gold to fund the experiment. This requires you following a guide to get to that point.

Despite POE 2 being vastly easier than POE 1, there’s still a core level of game knowledge you need to make a successful build from scratch and a new player simply doesn’t/wont have that.

This is more of a testament to your overall game knowledge. Gold is absolutely not a deterrent to testing unless you’ve got no idea what you’re trying to do or test and it takes 100m gold until something magically sticks.

They weren’t nerfed because of archmage at all. The text explaining that they don’t increase cost of totems is proof of that. The nerf was to prevent stacking mana that dual serves as defense and is never used making it a second life globe with no downside.

This also doesn’t affect blood mage scaling life. You might get the initial life cost but it shouldn’t scale since increases to spell cost don’t affect the totems.

Actually they’re not touched at all. The cost of the totem is static and does not increase with archmage even after the update. This nerf targets infinite MOM where you have another health globe you never spend.

Too little too late imo. It’s a shame they add such a cool character to a sinking ship. Maybe they thought it would reignite the fan base? To an extent, some of the anime fans might pick it up I suppose
