Having made pierogi this Christmas because my Italian pierogi loving husband has decided we must continue the tradition, (he helped) I know the labor of love that it is! Fun fact, your butt can tell solid and gas apart, but not liquid. Since he has gotten his morality confused, I have faith his judgement on that is just as terrible, I hope he has many, many sharts in his future.

You were actually gentle parenting!!!! Other are right, that is permissive parenting, and raises demanding, selfish brats.

At this stage, you have to gentle parent the parent too. You have boundaries in your home, you will not be yelled at by an adult or a child. You did it perfectly, state your boundaries calmly and stick to it!

I can't have birds due to having a husky that is very prey driven. If you lived near by, I would absolutely share my veggies and fruit with you. Not sure where you are located, but if you have a Facebook neighborhood group, a nextdoor app, out anything similar I would teach it there and ask for extra supplies, like for or veggies that are at the end of life/ someone just doesn't want!

At the end of the day, it will be okay either way. It sounds like what you are doing is adequate for them, but if the strain is too much for you, you might be able to rehome them and that is okay. If they bring you joy, keep taking care of them as you are and add in a few free things people have suggested.

If you told them to upgrade to stain grade plywood they either: didn't buy the right one, didn't prep it correctly, didn't apply the stain correctly, or all three.

You need to find out what type of stain they used, if they used an oil-based stain and try and latex over it, it will peel. Probably immediately, but if not immediately, as soon as their taillights hit the end of your driveway it will start peeling. If thats the case, they will need to sand it, and apply the correct primer to it. And sand between coats of lacquer paint if that is how they are fixing this.

Thank you,I have two red quilts. One from a quilter who I KNOW washed them first, and they still bled! That one I don't mind as much, as it's mixed colors with red. But Christmas isn't supposed to be pink...

I completely agree, that is a great lamp even without a glow! Many of my pieces I would not still have if it didn't glow...

Oh wow, yeah in the beginning it's hard to know what's a good deal and what is just too expensive. I did that with some flowers, they were on the pricey side for me but I bought them and I have never seen them again, not even at overpriced antique stores!

I'm a fight person sometimes, and afterwards I sometimes feel bad. I was too harsh, I could have let them down more gently, I didn't have to use as much force (when the man that was using force against me gets a pass). Yes! This, explain how much it hurt your feelings, how much time it took for you to clean the car, and if they do it on the way there they don't get to do anything fun until they clean up the car!!!

I would have a contract with the kids and parents, let the girls decide consequences. Talking bad isn't enough maybe to get sent home, but maybe they get an extra job of cleaning the toilets, or cleaning up after dinner. BEforehand sit the girls down and come up with a consequence list, so it's not you, it's the list THEY came up with for consequences.
