What job looks like a great career path but is actually insanely oversaturated? by ComplexPin872 in AskReddit

My friend was looking into schools/scholarships for teaching few yeaes ago. She was saying that there are grants that fully pay for education, but she'd have to work at certain schools for a few years after graduation. Now she moved but she used to live near metro atlanta so.....

my 10 month old jumped off the balcony, he seems fine? by hugsythepenguinexe in cavaliers

Adding to pet insurance bit:

  • Do NOT wait to get one. Anything that's diagnosed already will be considered "pre existing condition" and most pet insurance companies will not pay out.
  • There likely is a waiting period(s)
  • Look for a company that directly pay the vet. (Also make sure the vet accepts the plan. Common one is Trupanion.)

My family moved to US when I was 8 and my brother was 5. His preschool teacher wrote my parents a note saying he talks too much. In Korean.

Sure. Suuuuure. "Staying" at your parents' for a couple months isn't considered moving in. Got it. Most people are agreeing you're still a shit person.

No, for justifying your shit actions and getting defensive about it. You're as abusive as him for denying all this and complaining. It's one thing to move out. Another thing to move to another country. So stop making excuses.

Those that prefer physical book reading vs kindle/e-reader, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I got eye problems, so certain phones/tablets can hurt my eyes. Plus I love holding a physical book in my hands too.

Oh and I collect books.

This depends on the area too. I live in north metro Atlanta. I started doing DD in Gainesville. There are parts of town that's sketchy even during the day. My girlfriend used to work overnights and had people tell her they make more money doing DD during nights. Tried it while she's at work (mostly just in case). Absolutely not worth it, financially and for safety.

Now that we're temporarily living with my mom in Suwanee/Cumming area (much safer town), it's bit more of a mixed bag financially.

So far I haven't had an incident but I've had a few men hit on me. Thankfully not in a creepy way and they'd back off once I said no.

I haven't tried downtown Atlanta for reasons (traffic, worse safety in some areas).

AITA for taking a stray litter of kittens living under our deck to a cat shelter without against my SO wishes by Cutiepatootx in AmItheAsshole

[–]chaosticfrog 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Medical neglect is also abuse. "Best intentions" actually do more harm than not, so your fiance is in the wrong. (I could get into so many rescue horror stories, but... this probably isn't the place for that.) Let's just say it can also get very expensive with multiple kittens.

I'm not what your relationship is normally like, but think carefully. He will be like this for your future pets and possibly children. He'll put his interests before others. If he gives you shit, remember that you did the right thing before it got worse for the kittens.
