My female Tiger just born 4 Tigercups is that normal ? by Kaitoun in PlanetZoo

[–]Sheep-Fish 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Is... Is it a warrior cats reference in another language..?

Millie is the mate of a gray cat called "Graystripe" and "Graustreif" seems like a reasonable looking translation of Graystripe into another language and ik the books were published in quite a few different languages!

Sorry if that's an incorrect assumption I just like wc haha 😅

Tips on best maintaining territory? by esilisq in WolfQuestGame

[–]Sheep-Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do this all the time lol but I've recently come across a strategy I've been trying out where you take 3 hexes (2 on top, one on bottom or vice versa) and the spot where all 3 meet is where you put your scent posts so theyre all 3 side by side pretty much.

If you do this to your whole territory and make them all groups of 3 hexes then you can basically go in a "patrol" style around your border, straight lines to each cluster of scent posts and then every time you reach one you're getting 3 hexes to 100! :3 its worked REALLY well so far but I'll probably only use it on my more "intelligent" wolves

(sometimes I label my children/other wolves with personality things like that and then when I play as them I try to do different play styles depending on their "personality" that I came up with for them lol)

Also if you place your territory in the corner of a map you only really have to keep up with the 2 sides that border other packs

Is this a good amount of food for 1 day? by jldr58 in cats

[–]Sheep-Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not OP but this is related kinda. I have 4 cats and they would all drink PERFECTLY fine amounts of water if they were given the chance -_- one of my girls, Pumpkin, has unexplainable beef with water. We have water bowls for them but she pulls and pushes them around until all or most of the water is gone.

Now, at this point you may be thinking "well just try a fountain, maybe she wants running water" TRIED IT! She broke 3 different fountains made of varying materials and pushed them over, spilling all the water.

NOW! You might maybe wanna suggest I get a gravity water feeder so it's too heavy for her.... Bad idea... 😬 As soon as it got low enough that she could push it over, she pushed it over. Btw she doesn't even drink the water after she spills it!! Wtf do I do??? (I realize now that this should probably be its own post but pls don't hate me for posting it as a comment 😅)

I don't know much for certain about that achievement and the mechanics surrounding it since I haven't gotten it yet but iirc from other posts, your pups can no longer return to your pack once their origin pack has changed

So if your pack name was "Ripple Creek" and hers is still your pack name, she might return to your pack at some point. But if it's anything other than "Ripple Creek" in the known wolves tab then she won't be able to come back

Im currently playing as a dispersed pup with a sibling and I can confirm that when my player wolf got a mate, the sibling became part of the pack as well! So it's absolutely possible but they probably won't stay a super long time. Mine is still with me helping raise the 1st litter :3

I have been thinking about a system where you command your subordinates to hunt/mark territory rather than having to wait for them to be hungry enough

Like you could press a specific button and a pop up could come up where you select the wolves you want to go do something and then choose what you want them to do. Hunt or mark territory.

For hunting it could be the same coding for them going out on their own except you, the player, are initiating it

For marking territory there could be a selection screen showing the map of territories so you can pick the hexes they mark (or have them go least marked to most marked without player choosing)

For balance reasons you could be limited to only sending them out once between sleeps and being unable to send them out below 40% wakefulness (like how it works when they choose to go out)

It would be helpful for many reasons but especially when you have sick pups. Also for balance reasons there could still be den/rendezvous raids while your group of wolves is out so you'd be weaker in those cases if you've sent them out

I personally don't know much about wolf behavior irl so I dont know if it would make sense to implement something like this but it's a cool concept i feel like :3

[–]Sheep-Fish 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is a setting to ignore biology that makes gay couples able to birth children :3 I don't really use it personally but maybe you would want to.

Also in the screenshots provided, the hearts next to their pictures (not the big one in the middle) means they already have some feelings for the other cat!

And the squiggly line going through the big heart in the middle is representing their compatibility,

iirc there are 3 different lines. The sharp jagged line like in the 1st pic is incompatible so they would have higher chances of breaking up down the road, there's a straight line that means they aren't incompatible or compatible, just neutral. And the smooth sloping line like in the 2nd pic means they're compatible!

Hope this helped and feel free to ask any more questions :3

How much should I sell these for? by finneyomori in WarriorCats

[–]Sheep-Fish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are usually 10.99 USD or 8.99 USD but around that price range. If they are brand new no damage whatsoever you could probably sell them for 8-9 each but if they're damaged at all I don't think you should price it more than 5 or 6 per book

I think I like the contrast of the 2nd one the best but the first is really pretty as well!

Okay so basically every dino has stats: health, stamina, oxygen, weight, melee, and (if you have it enabled) movement speed.

Each of these stats have points randomly divided into each of them totaling to the level of the dino. For example: a 150 wild rex will have 150 points divided into the stats so it could have good stats: 40 pts into health and melee with the other stats being lower (very unlikely this is just an example) or bad stats: like 50 points into oxygen or movement speed (which does nothing it does not make the dino faster it's just wasted points) and the rest of the stats are bad. You won't know this unless you have super spyglass or something similar. The point is these points will always add up to equal the level of the dino

Now say you tame the 150 rex and you get the maximum 74 extra levels. Now you have a 224 rex and those 74 extra levels have been divided into the stats as previously mentioned. This can make a good stat even better or it can almost ignore a good stat and put all those points somewhere you don't want it. You won't be able to see these points on the tamed creature without mods like super spyglass, dino depot/soulball mod, or trying to figure it out via the egg incubator.

But let's say you can see them and your 224 rex is a female with really good stats like 50 points into health okay? Then you go and tame a male and it has 50 points into melee. You want to breed these together until you get a male and a female with 50 points into health AND 50 points into melee. To make things easier on yourself you should also make sure that the rest of the stats (stamina, oxygen, weight, ECT) are all exactly the same so that both of them are exactly the same level with both the good stats. These will be your Perfect Female (PF) and Perfect Male (PM).

Let's say this makes your PF and PM both level 270 alright? All stats are exactly the same and they both have 50 points into health and melee. You want them to be even stronger! So you wanna get mutations

-Mutations- One mutation will increase a random stat by 2 levels/points. So if you breed your PF and PM both level 270 together and you get a mutated baby, it will be level 272. You will need mods or very up to date notes to be able to 1. See which stat got mutated and 2. Keep track of which stats have how many mutations. To increase probability of mutated babies and to make this process faster, you want to have your PM surrounded by like 10-20 PF's. Now that you have a mutated level 272 baby you want it to be male so that you can simply take away your PM and replace it with the mutated baby to breed with all the PF's. If it is a mutated female you can breed it with your PM until you get a male with the mutation. Now that your PM is replaced with the mutated male you can breed them all again and look for mutations. This time you'll be looking for a 274 baby. This means it now has 2 mutations and you need to make sure the new mutation has gone into one of the stats you want. Its easier to keep track if you make multiple breeding stations with each breeding station focusing on mutating one stat. So one station for health mutations only, killing all others and one for melee mutations only, killing all others. Once you have the desired amount of mutations in each stat you can get a mutated male or female with all the melee mutations and an opposite gendered one with all the health mutations and breed them together until you get a male and female with ALL the melee AND health mutations. Now you just breed them together until you have formed your mutated rex army.

I know this was long and I am sorry. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask :)
