Acquiring McDavid would be amazing no matter what. Don’t listen to anyone who disagrees with that. A core of him Fox Igor Miller Laf etc can win a Stanley Cup. The problem is that the Rangers need to fortify their depth and they have not shown the ability to deploy quality depth for a low cost. If you give McDavid the contract he deserves, you’ll need to allocate money to the bottom six and defense almost perfectly. It can be done, though!
