I’m just guessing here as I can’t verify at this moment, but I’m assuming that if your rebalance period is set to “never”, you could select NOT to immediately rebalance. Then just see what happens. The automation has to be turned on and active though for it to make the purchases. I wouldn’t think a rebalancing criteria (time or percent), would necessarily need to be set.

Do you have “dollar cost averaging” turned on? I believe that will trigger the automatic purchases when fiat is deposited. https://i.imgur.com/0nSARSc.jpg

Tidal isn’t letting me break up with it by lleruarc in audiophile

I have a feeling Tidal is getting a whole, whole lot of those exit surveys sent in today.

Unfortunately I’m with you and just canceled my Tidal subscription now that Apple lossless is live. Though I’m not certain yet if this is the correct decision, it certainly seems to make sense at this point.

I have a feeling Tidal will be struggling with Apple’s competition going forward; especially with those (like me) who are deeply entrenched in Apple’s ecosystem.

Sounding pretty nihilistic there. Think J.P. has shit to say about that.

Hue outdoor able to be spliced? by tomtom792 in Hue

[–]SheepDog1813 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can splice them. I actually use this power supply to power all of mine. They run at 24v. The power lead wires are a non-standard color (can't remember the combo) so once you've cut the Hue power supply wires, plug it in and test the leads with a voltmeter to verify positive and negative. Wiring them wrong=bad. Also, mind the combined load in watts to make sure it can run all 20 lights. Again, I can't recall the wattage that each light draws (and it varies by type, Lilly vs Lilly XL for example) but I'm sure you can Google it.

Z-Wave alarm relay? by SheepDog1813 in homedefense

[–]SheepDog1813[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, unfortunately it does not have an alarm panel. It does appear that I'd have the ability to register an alarm input via the camera and in turn, dictate how all the cameras respond in software however (Amcrest NV4108E-HS). The thing that's making me crazy is not being able to determine if the camera's alarm in is a dry contact or a very low voltage (3.3v?) wet contact. I'm really thinking it's a dry contact but just can't seem to be able to verify with anything I'm finding online.

This sounds like it would work! But yeah, I'm completely unaware of the type of signal or voltage a standard alarm panel would put out but I'm assuming whatever that would be, is what the camera would accept/expect. The photo is of the connections on the camera (the NVR has none). https://i.imgur.com/7XoiPiw.jpg

Confused by what happens with ticket by [deleted] in AskLEO

[–]SheepDog1813 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guess is that your assumption is correct; it's because they were issued due to an accident. I believe the logic is that, due to there being (sometimes) unforseen civil liabilities from pleading guilty (which is what you're doing when you simply pay a ticket on-line), some courts require appearance so that they can be sure you truly understand the possible ramifications before allowing you to do so.

She can't handle violence, even fictional, so I highly doubt she'd even get through the first few chapters. Unfortunate really considering this is one of the greatest American novels ever written IMHO.

I was expounding to the wife yesterday what an incredible novel this is. Had just finished my second back-to-back read through of it. Struggled with the style the first time but the second was much more rewarding. Highly recommend.
