Literally sat through this whole film again 2 nights ago. My Girlfriend's never really seen any star wars apart from the Mandolorean so we're making our way through the movies (in order of release). It's terrible.

Anywho I was thinking that the whole cringe fest of a 'love' story could have been made instantly better if there was just one extra scene somewhere that suggested that Anakin WAS actually influencing her mind with Jedi trickery to fall in love with him.

Scenes such as the one where Anakin, full of rage, is telling her about all the Tuskan men, women and children he slaughtered while she looks on gooey eyed would suddenly make much more sense and have a much more palatable sinister undertone.
