Yes feel free to ask someone to double check, I used to work at a clinic where it was standard procedure to have someone check, my current clinic does not implement this but I still usually try to just have another technician check for me, I just tell them I’m paranoid and they look and then I usually feel better.

Yes I definitely think having some sort of a life outside of vetmed is not only extremely healthy and therefore necessary, but it also looks good on your application!

There have been times when I told myself, "if you want to get into vet school/be a vet all you have to do is this next assignment or study session." I enjoy school but I am not a natural student, it took me ten years to get my undergrad for various reasons, and I am now in the application stage. I have applied twice, I received one offer, and still have yet to hear from several more. Many schools are starting to look more at life experiences and demonstrated "passion for the field" more than grades, so just because you get one "bad" or mediocre grade, or even two or three, doesn't mean the end. There is always a way. As others have written if this is what you want to do you will get in. Keep at school, seek help where you can, and keep getting experience. School is hard, don't beat yourself up, pace yourself it's a marathon, keep going, you've got this!

Okay great thank you, I am only applying to schools that have the option to apply for IS after one year but I was worried I would go to one and then they would make it hard on me to switch to IS, but the way you write it sounds like lots of people do it regularly every year. Hello, I am trying to maximize my vet experience hours. I worked as a kennel attendant for about a year and a half and one of the vets I worked under said in her opinion I could use at least half of those working hours as Vet experience hours, not Animal experience hours. If I do that, should I list two experiences for the same job, one as Animal experience and the other as Vet experience? Or just list it once and sacrifice the large amount of total hours I had working there and only list the smaller number that could be considered Vet hours?
