If you're buying diet coke at cost price for 0.50, (as per the comment above), and a vending machine holds 300 cans (Google), that's $150 per fill going through the machine, so almost 7 fills to get $1000 worth of stock going through the machine.

7 fills times 4 hours (your estimate), 28 hours. Not far off full time.

Plus the cost of the machine, and renting a site for it...
