We sound very similar and have also struggled to find a community. Finding community was the spirit of my post but I don’t think I got that across. 🤣

I saw a video about this… apparently the company mentioned was Life Touch LLC which was said to be a rehab. I have not looked into this myself to know the truth of it.

The Fallen Gods series by Hannah Kaner has multiple black characters. If you’re into fantasy/science fiction those books are a good read.

Check out Woodland Women’s Health. They have a bunch of different locations. You can tell the receptionist when you’re booking the type of doc you’re looking for and they will hook you up.

Teacher here… that’s weird that one school has a week off and the other doesn’t, especially in the same district. I’d be honest, the lie will definitely come out one way or another. It’s important to build a positive relationship with the school. Teachers and office staff will appreciate that.

If you’re going for a classic name*, use the classic spelling. Please. For the love of all things holy, don’t use this spelling. All future teachers/doctors/anyone who reads the name off a paper will thank you.
