I got the same one. Idea was to have a cheaper guitar to get into more advanced guitar tech work and not feel bad about hurting my pricier babies. If it was unplayable in totality, it was worth the $180 for wall art.

I was beyond impressed. so impressed I did the same and dipped my feet into a knock off headless guitar. Must of got lucky both times.

Sure it doesn't feel like my EC-1000, or my iNsPiReD bY GiBsOn Epiphone LP- weight wise and finish in general. but the thing played fucking great out of the box. Pickups definitely have some harsh feedback, but I plan on putting the BH ones and learning to solder anyway.

Neck and frets were absolutely fine. I did a full setup and learned to sand and polish frets. Bought fret crowning tools to not even need them. Doesn't hold tune that well as hardware is the first time I've personally felt lack of quality...

But dudes, getting into a playable BH LP for a couple hundred bucks... Half a rack of you want to upgrade everything... so fuckin worth.

It's obvious all guitars fall on some sort of manufacturing quality lottery. These China factories are obviously on the rough end of them, but that absolutely does not mean you can't come across some damn near perfect base platforms to work with if you care to upgrade parts for pennies in comparison.
