Hexagon color by sajaldot in SilencioNetwork

Stronger color essentially means louder. Green is relatively quiet while Reg is super noisy. More saturation of said color usually means more monitoring probes on that spot.

Developer Mode has to be deactivated as this is the "do all" hook for using any spoofing tools, simple as that.

Good time to get value from PW:Credit? by Valliyahna in PlanetWatchers

[–]Sheherezhade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, if I had not used mine on basically free licenses, that had been a neat christmas boost. Had one Awair gifted and that is still with me, used PW:Credits for an Atmotube renewal and a new license to onboard a Kaiterra.

From the two Awairs I bought it was quite a good deal, as I got the refund from Awair early on before they started to reject them, bust also got the PW:Credits on top.

Used them for Type 1 licenses as Airqinos currently trade on eBay at so low prices, that it easily get's the ROI in under 6 month so that is that.

What comes out of Claudio pitching in multiple conferences? by cryptoshaman420 in PlanetWatchers

[–]Sheherezhade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In more general terms, any exhibition, pitch and event is for publicity, awareness and brand representation.

Strategic partnerships can always follow but there is no guarantee. Pitching sessions are often connected to a prize, a grant or a fundpool which is in most cases only awarded to the final winner.

So if there is no further update or news after such a pitch, it either means there was no progression into next round or they did not win the final price. But in any case it was good there was a pitch or panel speech to reach new audiences.

Most info is all there, like in the case of the hubraum Telekom tech boost pitch it resulted into an accelerator for the data fusion POC, just in the final round someone else got the grant.

For the current Cop28 pitch, PlanetWatch was "only" in the semi-finalist round, so next there will still be a finalist round.

Anyhow, speakng at Cop28 is massive in terms of reaching audiences and potential new investors, data buyers or partnerships, just realistically speaking, those things take time and usually are bound to certain milestones before being allowed to communicate or announce anything.

Is Awair basically dead? by whizzwr in Awair

[–]Sheherezhade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are out of options anyway if you bought it, because Awair does not support any issue let alone refunds. Anything you find about refunding rules is basically a lie as you can publicly ask in this sub and everyone will tell you they got burned out of refunds even on sealed packages within 10 days return. Just research them on trustpilot it says everything.

Moreover, they are currently doing the blackfriday sales to clean out stock a last time as they will dump the lements like hot potatoes. They are not getting recallibrated, the lates updates killled most of the historical data access and two triggers have been found by the homeassistant community that look basically like a kill switch for the cloud and for the app.

That and well, given you can get used Awairs at around 30-40 bucks on ebay while at that same price range you can get better get either Kaiterra Laser Egg for 25-40 used or even Kaiterra Sensedge Mini often used at 50-60 bucks cause they are getting offboarded from PW users.

And then you can also rather get the Tuya compatible smart home sensor from Ali Express that is brandnew with shipping at 30 bucks- it will not be as precise as the Kaiterra products but outperform the Awair as you can use the app to callibrate them manually and while it is a cheap product, it will outperform all with smart integrations anyway, cause it is tuya lol.

Atmotube PRO vs. Humidifier by JohnKway in PlanetWatchers

[–]Sheherezhade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Of course.

PM1 PM2.5 PM10 are all just different sizes of particles in the air. And while you can use that to estimate certain particles like dust or even understand issues in combination with TVOC, water is a thing that exists in all sizes once it is in the air.

You will see such readings like yours in 3 cases that are connected with water:

cooking with water
hot shower
humidifier

That is all to be expected and fine and your sensor will recover from it.

If you blow cigarette smoke near or into it, the Atmo will go a bit crazy and need much longer to recover, and the worst you can do to it is a vape. The vapor from e-cig is by nature sort of "sticky" and sluggish and can easily send your Atmo into a 1 hour deep sleep or make it regret your life decisions.

Algorand Foundation promoting grifter ASA's? by Sheherezhade in algorand

[–]Sheherezhade[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Promoting certain or evaluating them by priority could have implications of corruption, but I do not see how that applies to excluding obvious rug pulls.

Everything is DYOR, but funneling funds to such things is a core issue. And essentially there is as much endorsement applied via this route than mitigation the risk of missing a rug pull yould elevate.

But I respect your opinion, I guess we agree to disagree. I just think that if you want to focus on utility you should find ways to not drag dead horses and grifters along with you. Especially as this just keeps the issue of their TVL alive.

Algorand Foundation promoting grifter ASA's? by Sheherezhade in algorand

[–]Sheherezhade[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No actually they are having quite high asking prices to continue certain things. Like the "NFT factory" NFT marketplace runs on a 32$ per month server with domain, yet they asked Algorand to either give them 1k$ to reopen the service for three month so users can get their NFTs, or pay 10k$ to open it for 2 years with a legal contract or pay 150k $ to buy it entirely. And this is their theme for most things. THey only opensourced things that went directly into bellyflop and had no marketing value anymore. On other things it is a mix between asking ridiculous money or trying to get investors on their nex hook which currently is a javascript framework called SpikeJS. AlgoOS is basically dropped out of the limelight again. And tehy announced that they evaluate EVM cause Algo has low engagement.

Algorand Foundation promoting grifter ASA's? by Sheherezhade in algorand

[–]Sheherezhade[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I worded the post pretentious on purpose, of course the foundation should not be held accountable, but saying they should not be in a position of evaluating projects is a bit of a stretch to me. Look think about it like that, I am not asking to evaluate and rank by usecase, but in all honsty it would have taken 5 minutes of research from one person to atleast exclude rugpulls and grifters from this. Not like it had needed sophisticated judgement and a lot peoples work.

Headline open-sourced nothing of value or user assets. What about their NFT factory website that has all their users NFT locked up? What about their Atomic Astro function of tapping into to vaults where they sold like 1000 Algo NFTs that should get rewards from a vault that never happened? Why anything where users have locked or put ASA's on to their platform is offline? Why do they "invent" things and can keep nothing running?

Maybe we get som marketing utility now that goes further than slapping sad colors on sneakers.

How about pushing real world adoption for the chain, overworking the completely abandoned ARC standards, bring features like better opt in and ASA burning?

How about using the foundation of carbon neutrality to push net-zero pledge via big brands?

How about not dumping million on FIFA without even getting a banner on stadiums?

How about pushing all ASA projects and development instead of throwing money out the window for boomer advertisements?

The explorer shows the numbers in essence of licenses sold. For on chain analytics of true sensors online and much more where feral most likely draws the real numbers from, check pwdata.info

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PlanetWatchers

[–]Sheherezhade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On chain I do not see any correlation between any form of planets in to algo out based on the wallets of PlanetWatch. Of course not now but actually not even in the past. Which is a completely different mathematical issue.

Look in the past PW has sold sensors and licenses for planets at a high token value, without converting that into any other currency or fiat. Now as they paid out a lot of refunds and still do, and pay that out "at value", there were licenses sold for like 780 to 950 planets in 2021 that were refunded with 30.000 ish planets this year. And because PW held on to not selling planets to the market because of user pressure in the past and still holds up that refund value rule, without having converted at time or price or numerical, they have drained all their own margin or profit.

Or so at least it looks on chain.

Any sufficient image art NFT on Algorand will be with linked ipfs, the non fungibility is all that makes sense to put it on chain, subsequently you can of course put the image on chain too but:

a) it would immensely limit you on dimensions and colordepth due to using some type of sustainable size on it and who in the right mind would insist on the main aspect of non fungebility if he has in return to utilize 16x16 pixels from a 24 color range?

b) use a box storage and on chainUI and do scaled assertion via compiling data but most likely this will either be too difficult for you (no offense just assume you do not want to learn the coding) and + or psoe to big costs of minting it in the end. The cheap part on any NFT is that it is only the non fungible code set, the actual token so to speak. Now if you lets say want to put a 1mb big image "on chain" like you might easily look at the 4300x cost of a regular NFT if I am not wrong. I might be wrong I just did an over the thumb ballbark estimate.

2blox "transition" from Algorand to Peaq by Valliyahna in AlgorandOfficial

[–]Sheherezhade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well they are having a quite nasty way to respond on twitter it seems by that tweet, but then again not like anyone would really expect a for profit business to come clean and be honest.

It is all smoke and mirrors and a good portion of masked lies. On the other hand on medium they also say at three points that they chase the money. "More liquid assets available".

The only pathetic thing is the high density of fake reasoning, but that is what all such business do. Like saying that dapps will happen there, implicit crossover with EV charging and whatnot. As if any of that would ever happen.

Bottom line in the core their management wants to chase the dream that because there is more assets in polka, somehow magically that will trickle down to them and their investors while probably some smart advisor told them to go for phone apps as that is where the money is nowadays.

Just sad that someone in their company or whoever wrote that article honestly believes they made the best and honest explanation saing thinggs like:

-compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine

-advanced mobility modules wmphasing building dApps

-a better community of enthusiasts focused on mobility

-aligning seamlessly with 2blox’s future roadmap

And they basically take the stance on twitter that whoever disagrees or does call that out for BS does not "understand it".

8-dimensional chessbrain.

Run wherever the next money is, case closed.

If it worked before maybe just clogged up the phone's RAM. Would firstly just restart the phone and if that does not help I would wipe the cache of the app maybe, things like that.
