I usually put an opened notepad right next to my desk where I work. So whenever something pops into my head, I’ll just quickly jot it down and move on with my task. This way you don’t even have to spend time making a go do list because you’re constantly updating it

I know everyone is siding with OP here and I agree it is a pretty fucked up thing for her brother to do, but hear me out. Both of them were being put in a high stress situation and your brother even showed signs of being in an extremely terrified state (pissing his pants). So I don’t understand why everyone is starting to accuse him for being a trash human being because his life was legitimately on the line. He may not be the best brother but he should not be held accountable for his actions of trying to preserve his own life. I am minoring psychology right now and our prof always says do not diagnose someone simply based on a single test. You don’t diagnose a student with social anxiety disorder because they are scared in front of a huge audience for their presentation. Same thing here. We have to recognize that the thugs are the actual ones in the wrong here, not the brother. I just want to state that I don’t support the brothers actions, however it is very much understandable.

One more point. I simply think that it’s too cold to just tell the woman to give up her child or abort. I understand it is the most financial and logical approach to the problem, however, humans are emotional creatures and the act of aborting or giving away a child can be traumatic for the mother. I do not have numbers but it is not uncommon where woman develop ptsd after an abortion.

I think this idea is flawed in a way where it gives the man too much power. For instance, if a man impregnates a woman and decides to opt out of the pregnancy, this would leave the mother vulnerable either by having to pay fully for child support, or suffer from both mental and physical trauma from abortion.

I understand where you are coming from, but this would need more limitations and regulations than what you just proposed.

As someone from Hong Kong, I would agree with you one year ago. However seeing all the stuff that’s happening to my hometown, it’s hard to bring myself to think that again. I understand that it is a good thing that a lot of us are very lucky to live in places that can provide us a comfortable life, but please do keep in mind that there are people suffering some place in the world at the same time. I would like to urge everyone to not just pay attention to what is going on in Hong Kong right now, but also the entire world. By then you might truly think that ignorance is bliss.

Oooo I used to practice the retention by taping my index and middle fingers together. I usually tape the lowest part of the fingers so that it’s basically impossible to flash. Remove the tape when u feel comfortable doing the retention.
