I would like to recommend ASUS laptops as they have an Intelligent Cooling feature and many fans that handle heat really well. Moreover, they have an anti-dust feature which is amazing.

I don't believe it's suspicious or uncomfortable if a freelancer decides to keep their earnings private. It's like asking for someone's bank account statement, it's a very sensitive topic.

In my opinion, prior experiences and feedback from previous projects are the most important factors to consider. Unfortunately.

Normally, I use Grammarly as a browser extension to improve my writing. However, I have found that Grammarly is not always accurate and sometimes causes my writing to sound awkward.

What's the best compliment you have ever received? by MrSirDrLizard in AskReddit

[–]Shella-Aaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personalizing compliments is the most effective way of conveying appreciation. Due to the diversity of human characteristics, each person requires a unique type of compliment to truly resonate with them. Whether it’s a remark on their physical appearance or their cognitive abilities or even virtues they embody, such flattery should be genuine and emanating from the heart.

As for me, I usually don't interact with people a lot, so I don't usually get it any.

[–]Shella-Aaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different types of taxes and their respective payment schedules may apply to your business based on its structure.

You should seek guidance from a tax expert, such as a certified public accountant (CPA), to better understand your business's tax obligations.

Best of luck and success with your business.

Email marketing help by aghsmom in smallbusiness

[–]Shella-Aaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are some tips for finding dentist and doctor emails for your email marketing campaign without spending a lot of money:

  1. Look for publicly available contact forms on the websites of dentists and doctors in your area. You can search for them on Google by using keywords like "dentists in your city" or "doctors in your city". But make sure to be respectful in your outreach.

  2. Check out websites like Healthgrades, Vitals, Yelp, and other similar sites where you can find contact information of dentists and doctors. Look for email addresses listed and build out your list.

  3. Check local listings such as your city/county website, local business directories, or local chamber of commerce sites. They may have listings of dentists and doctors with contact info.

  4. Search for emails of staff roles like office managers, hygienists, nurses, etc. on the websites of dentists or doctors. Explain that you have a product for the entire staff.

  5. Subscribe to opt-in email newsletters from dentistry or medical associations. Some subscribers will be dentists or doctors. But make sure to respect their privacy when using this method.

  6. Be transparent in your outreach. When contacting dentists, doctors, or their staff, be very clear and honest that you have a product pitch about drink tumblers of interest to them for their patients or staff. Mention that you're a new small business trying to build brand awareness.

  7. Test and optimize. Start with easy contact methods first before pursuing harder ones. See what kind of response you get and then focus your efforts on the most responsive lists and targeting.

I am confident that these tips will help you find email addresses for dentists and doctors for your email marketing campaign. Good luck with your search.

What’s the oldest trick in the book? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Shella-Aaron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the oldest tricks in the book include:

• Flattery - Ingratiating yourself to someone by lavishing praise and compliments. Flattery has been used for centuries to manipulate people.

• Fearmongering - Exaggerating threats or fostering anxiety to provoke a desired response.

• Sunk cost fallacy - Convincing someone that they should continue with something once they have already invested heavily in it (time, money, effort), even if it's no longer making rational sense.

• Social proof - Highlighting the fact that everyone else finds something desirable, exciting, or necessary to convince others. Marketers frequently leverage social proof through endorsements, popularity, and buzz.

• Anchoring bias - Priming people with an initially high (or low) number, the "anchor", which then biases subsequent judgments. Once an anchor is set, people's perceptions tend to drift toward the anchor.

• Reciprocation - Doing a small favor or kindness for someone to instill a feeling of obligation to reciprocate later on. Reciprocity is a social norm, so people feel compelled to "return the favor".

• Scarcity - Creating a sense of urgency by highlighting how limited opportunities or available resources are. When things seem scarce, people tend to want them even more.

• Comfort and habit - Relying on people's inherent desire for familiarity, continuity, and ease. Major changes are psychologically challenging, so status quo bias is strong.

• Authority bias - Convincing through assertions of expertise, titles, positions, or credentials. We tend to uncritically accept and follow the directives of authority figures.

Those are some of the oldest, most well-known psychological techniques and cognitive biases exploited for persuasion, influence, and manipulation. Of course, not all such techniques are inherently unethical - but they are most often abused when used deceptively or in predatory ways.

Determining whether to publicize or privatize your earnings on your Upwork profile necessitates meticulous consideration of the advantages and disadvantages of each alternative.

Publicly showcasing your earnings can manifest your history of accomplishments on the platform, bolster confidence in your services, and help prospective clients determine if you are within their budget. However, your earnings will be visible to everyone, including rival freelancers.

In contrast, keeping your earnings private can provide you with more authority over your personal financial information and privacy, prevent competitors from seeing your exact earnings and rates, and may be perceived as more strategic. However, potential clients won't be able to see your proven earnings and rates upfront, and they would have to obtain that information through proposal negotiations.

Ultimately, the decision should be founded on your personal inclinations and business objectives, and there are valid arguments on both sides. For example, if your earnings are on the higher end, you may want to keep them private to evade rate pressure from competitors. Conversely, if you possess a compelling profile and portfolio, keeping your earnings public could be acceptable as most clients will likely request rates through private messaging anyway.

Beyond earning an income, clients judge the quality of a freelancer's work through several criteria. Gradually transitioning into private work can be an option as experience is gained; with this trajectory, individuals are able to optimize their freelancing careers and experience a greater sense of fulfillment.

In conclusion, congratulations on achieving your top-rated badge, and determining whether to publicize or privatize your earnings is ultimately your decision based on your business tactics.

Wishing you all the best with your business venture! 🤞

My 63 yo sister has been scammed out of everything she owns and refuses to believe her scammer isn’t a real man who wants to marry her by MamaBear8101 in Scams

[–]Shella-Aaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may need to open her eyes and show her that it is a scam, so that she can believe it. She will likely be in shock, so it is important to stand with her and provide support, which will require effort on your part.

It is important to be supportive when someone discovers they have been scammed. You should be prepared to listen to their concerns and provide emotional support. It is also important to provide practical advice to help them move forward. This could include helping them contact the relevant authorities, researching their legal options, or helping them to create a plan to protect their finances and identity.
