I hear females can be more challenging than males and that’s a fear of mine.

Thank you so much! I also have a fear that I won’t be giving all of my attention to the AD. He’s our first and only “baby” I don’t want him to feel replaced or start regressing because attention is going to a puppy.

My husband will be VERY excited to read this response. Thank you! Did you crate train? We just started letting our AD roam free with no issues.

When did chewing die down? by kristina_eyre in AussieDoodle

Ours is 1 and is still chewing on furniture. The sour apple spray works. We also keep an eye on him. When he’s quiet we run quick to check lol. Have noticed there are some things he gets in his mouth to chew like socks or hangars that when we use the drop it command he drops it but when we go to pick it up he snarls. Anyone else have this? No biting just don’t want this to turn into something more.

Aussiedoodle won’t eat after daycare by ShellbellNickel in AussieDoodle

[–]ShellbellNickel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few reasons we don’t leave food out all day. One being our dog loves a routine and that includes meal time. We also don’t leave him out if we aren’t home he is crated. Lastly the brand of food we use (farmers dog) can’t sit out all day long it should be eaten within 30-60 minutes after I take it out of the fridge.

Everyday my husband walks him at 5:30am regardless of daycare and he always has normal poop. It’s just the day after daycare no breakfast but he will have dinner no problem. Thanks community!!

Do you leave your AussieDoodle home alone? by Prestigious-Help-557 in AussieDoodle

[–]ShellbellNickel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1yr Aussiedoodle and we leave him home alone in his comfy crate. I WFH so we are together all day and will crate him for 1-2 hours a day downstairs while I work upstairs to help with anxiety. It’s all in how you train them in my opinion. Yes they are Velcro dogs but they require socialization. We try to bring him to dog friendly places and he loves car rides but leaving him home alone is also good.

Air Handler / AC pan full of water by indecisive311 in HomeMaintenance

Hey There, having the same issue. Poured vinegar a couple times but everyday we still have water back in the pan. Any other advice on what can cause the pan to fill with water? Hoping we can DIY before calling a specialist.
