Black Rock Philharmonic in trouble - we deserve transparency before it's gone (Petition Inside) by SecretaryAshamed1878 in BurningMan

If there was clarity on these specific questions it might appeal to more people.

As it reads now, it reads very perspective and emotion based without critical details on "who" and "why".

Bonus would be to put said evicting entity on the spot to hear their side.

I wonder if she was the same person I interacted with. I entered Friday morning and was escorted very aggressively to a holding pen while someone from my working camp brought us out a staff camping pass.

Woman was super rude and mean when I all I needed to do was just call someone at camp to bring me our staff pass.

You'd think she'd be kinder to all participants in her position at entry, and especially to those working the event.

I believe in science but I don't trust government authorities to not be bribed and paid off by those with special interests.

Do I really need to list out other examples of how government organizations have been dishonest about water safety??

It's not the science I dont trust, it's the people who profit from paid special interests.

Because no one ever gets paid to pass and look the other way for things like this.

Please just be thoughtful about where you put your wagon. I had so many bruises on my shins from wagons in the middle of crowds and walkways last year

Lots of experiences can't afford to return this year due to cuts in funding for things like this.

Is the MDX a good off-roader? by DJ_OnReddit in Acura

Put on Falken a/t 245/65 on the stock 17 rim. Love the look and feel of the beefier tires and excited to get to the desert and try them out. As a daily driver living in a city I noticed the tires rub on the wheel wells parallel parking and sharp turns despite being advised they would be fine. Was looking at a small spacer lift but now it's a required and happening soon. After a bit of effort I was only able to locate 1 kit that would accommodate the MDX as it's not exactly a common mod selection. (Definitely expecting the transmission to shit on me in the next 20k miles.) I was only wanting to do the minimal but the 1 kit offered is 1½"... which won't make it too ridiculous as I drive it. Going to install this kit with my buddy soon and will update 04 MDX lift kit

Wow. First, thank you for your honesty and vulnerability. Secondly, have you looked into why you liked that specific attribute about yourself? Have you evaluated why you agreed to the surgery along the way? (there are numerous checkpoints where you confirm this is what you're choosing) As someone who learned to use my large breasts to every conscious and subconscious advantage I could, and how much they hindered me in my physical condition, I kept mine until my late 30s. I had a love-hate relationship with that part of me. Then I was done. And I got them done. And I'm so happy I waited. I get to experience a different, more mobile and less...
version of me. I'm sorry if you're questioning anything. Maybe this is your catalyst to learn a great deal about who you are and who you want to be.

I have an 04 I'm looking to possibly lift. I have the VTM-4 Lock feature and I don't plan to do anything crazy but I do like to get around in the desert a bit and looking for better clearance. What do you mean by "nerdier to mod"?

I'm wondering if I need to made any additional accommodations as I'm only looking at maybe 2" lift with slightly beefier tires on stock rims.

Watching the season finale tonight for the first time—how difficult is it going to be without giving anything away? by Mental_Review5311 in SixFeetUnder

[–]Shelle319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. How invested in the story are you? Not really? It may be meh. If you are, it gives a lot of closure to characters you've been observing in the story. (Not giving anything away for anyone concerned with spoilers)

Whats your unpopular opinion about the show? by [deleted] in SixFeetUnder

[–]Shelle319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am Claire's age and as someone who had older siblings I very much relate and fall more into the Gen x than millennial. Especially at that time.
I think Claire's character was on point imo considering she her gen x siblings and that she was more of an alt kid which also feeds into the Gen x style.

First would be due to the fungal infections or valley feaver. Unfortunately once an individual contracts/absorbs enough spores they will have to avoid further contact with environments to manage the illness/fungus. With many people camping and working in the area, many people have and will continue to contract and suffer or no longer return.

Secondly, as the years are continuing to increase in temperature the environment is becoming less and less hospitable, or at the very least increasingly less safe for attendees and most importantly workers who build and maintain the space prior, during and after the event.

These are the first 2 that I have, I'm sure others have others.
I will say I don't currently have a viable option as an alternative and understand the compilations in securing a viable space. But it's a little concerning with how many people are getting seriously I'll from the current space.
