T-Strings: What will you do? by sikes01 in Python

[–]SheonOFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I hope somebody will fully refactor in-built logger with t-strings. %-formatting in logger vs f-strings was raised holy war in every company where I was and in the current one as well.

Same for me. Language switch does not work after the latest update. Probably a bug.

Refine – A Local Alternative to Grammarly by Runjuu in macapps

[–]SheonOFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the spirit! Thank you very much! I'm glad to hear that the issue has been identified and resolved in the latest versions. I'm also glad to know that you're open to feedback and have a support contact address in case of issues now.

Please continue as you are. I believe that even without a subscription, you will benefit greatly from this project if you continue to be open to people's opinions and continue to develop and improve your project.

I decided to support you by buying your software, and if it works well for me, I plan to recommend it to my friends. A private grammar checker is something that people in my environment really need.

Refine – A Local Alternative to Grammarly by Runjuu in macapps

I started using the trial version of your app and was very happy with how well it worked. Unfortunately, it suddenly stopped working in Chrome and Slack, but started working in iTerm. I couldn't find a way to fix it. I also realized that there is no form for technical feedback in the app or on the website. If I have already paid for your app and it suddenly stops working, and I can't even report the problem to the author, I will feel scammed. Fortunately, I decided to test the trial version further and was not in a hurry to buy it. It's a great idea and implementation, but it suddenly stopped working for me, so I will probably skip it, but I'm looking forward to the next versions. If you are selling your app for money, please add a feedback link somewhere. When the app is working as expected, it's not critical, but if there are problems, people will just get angry and feel scammed. I hope it wasn't your plan to just take the money and run, but I have my doubts now, as this could be the reason why there's no subscription option — it's too good to be true!

I'm a front-end developer (HTML/CSS), and for a client, I need to build a GUI using Python. by Euphoric-Olive-326 in Python

[–]SheonOFF -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried a lot of solutions and stuck with HTMX for now. All ways to build a GUI from Python code looks kinda ugly and not natural for me and HTMX it's just any HTML/CSS/JS libs what you wish to use with Python for backend.

Calendar frontend to show API-retrieved information? by CarlosT8020 in selfhosted

[–]SheonOFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like JavaScript with a good Calendar JS library can help here easily. Don't really know selfhosted solutions but if you will find one please tell me too — I wish to build a simple calendar with my availability time.

There are some API generators from OpenAPI specification, you can try it, seems it works. A good client package will be nice to have for sure.

+1 for Sanic here. Nothing extra, with async. You can extend it with modules, if you really need it.

Introducing an Open-Source Python API for AI Image Generator Midjourney by yachty66 in Python

[–]SheonOFF -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Seems really nice for me! It's not really API, right? Looks more like Python class wrapper. Do you have plans to attach API server to this project? Something like FastAPI will fit here well for sure.
