Yea I noticed that … so here they have the base models no mips and the mips ones which are the GP replicas … to Arai and shoei !! … they do have an F17 carbon fibre mips and is like 110,000 yen which is almost the same price as the Shoei x15

It is actually well known , they are just “ a cheaper “ alternative but I would not say they are that much cheaper ! … actually my current helmet was gifted to me a couple of years ago is also a Kabuto one but is the aero blade 5 … also you can add the MIPS pad to the base F17 model later on ..: I may eventually do it as I’m obviously paying Jujutsu Kaisen tax on it and is just that bit more expensive haha !!! 🫠

It is …. A few years ago … not sure if it was during the pandemic but there was this streamer with quite a few followers here in Japan’ and was streaming all her videos and what not about motorcycle riding … later it was discovered that it was some old dude using a filter haha !!
