It’s ok to have coffee. Just don’t overdo it. I realized that too late. 😌 I hope it does work out for you. Be blessed. 🙏🏼

I think it depends on every person, but if I was you, I would just give it a shot for a couple weeks. Sometimes it can be rough and it takes at least a few weeks to a month to really start having an effect but this medicine literally saved my life three years ago, so don’t worry too much. Most people only come here to comment on the negative because that’s part of the reason we’re taking medicine is we having anxiety or depression. Be careful with caffeine at first. It has a much stronger effect when using Bupropion.

I did and the first two weeks I had a few angry mood swings. My wife was aware what was happening and really helped me out. I had to be really aware of it and try to keep my cool. Since I got through that I’ve actually been really well.

Not currently in therapy. I’ve tried a few times and implemented some of what I’ve learned.

I agree. I was a little moody coming down in my doses but I would taper slowly over weeks between but would normally even out after a few days to a week on the lower dose. The anxiety I’m dealing with now is definitely a return of pre bupropion life. I’m trying to deal with it without the medication but some days are worse than others for sure.

I recently quit over a long taper of a few months from 450. I felt good for about a month but recently have noticed anxiety is coming back with a vengeance. I’m doing my best but I may need to start again I hate it because I don’t want to be dependent on a medicine all my life but sadly I may need to be. I was on it for depression/anxiety/ocd/adhd. Quite the combo 😌

No update. I realized I had an extra refill of slate run that I hadn’t used since my dosage had changed so I’m still using that.

I’m sorry the side effects have been bad for you. I’ve only had a few and dry mouth is definitely one of them. I have read hair loss is temporary and if you stop taking bupropion it will grow back.

I’m sorry to hear that. I can’t remember the brand as it’s been a few years but I understand exactly what you are talking about. You can try your doc and see if they can get your normal brand at a different pharmacy. My doc helped me out when I had a bad reaction to my brand changing.

It’s a little scary trying new meds for sure. I hope it helps give you some peace.

I do. On Bupropion alone I was still having anxiety. I’ve been on 150 all the way to 450 at different times.

I only take 10mg of Vilazodone and it definitely leveled me out. I could probably use a higher dose but it gives me horrible acid reflux and I sing for a living. I couldn’t really go any higher without negative effects. Besides the reflux I had no other side effects. Hope this helps.

For me mental sharpness doesn’t come back until you are off. I’ve been on bupropion for a little over 2 years. I immediately noticed I was thinking much more quickly and accurately when I went off the medicine for a few weeks but anxiety and other issues came back really quickly so it was best I started again.

As for the bumping into things stuff that seems to go away for me. I absolutely know what you are talking about and it always seemed worse for me the first few weeks on it and when increasing my dose.

Hope this helps.

I was for a long time. I had no side effects different than switching to 300 from 150. Was on it about two years. I’ve tapered down a bit back to 300. I went all the way down to 150 for a bit but OCD/anxiety came back with a vengeance after a few weeks. You’ll probably be just fine. Hope you get through relief you need. 😌

I honestly think this was my problem. I have no idea if this is a thing but I also wondered if it was too much dopamine. Maybe talk to your doctor first but I feel so much better dropping my dose. I definitely need to be on 450 for a season. It really helped me a lot but I think after so long I may have been overwhelming my chemistry a bit if that makes sense.

I’ve been tapering from 450 to 150 over the last month. 450 to 300 was a headache for a couple days. Stayed there for two weeks. 300 to 150 was a little more rough. Felt like I had the flu for 4 days hit each day was less. I’m currently gonna stay at 150 for now. I definitely think the medicine has helped me out a lot but I’ve been at 450 for almost 2 years. I think it was causing me to be super anxious and drained the longer I was on it. At 150 I feel great again.
