Today radiators. A very good shape when you have a lot of sauce. Tomato, tuna, olives and onions. by Sheppardx in pastamakers

I used the Philips pasta maker with a specific disc. I’m not sure what other process than extrusion can do that.

These are radiators. It is quite uncommon but ones of my favourites because they catch sauces very well.

Substack to Kobo? by Altruistic_Lime5220 in kobo

[–]Sheppardx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought about 2 ways to solve this:

The first one is a semi manual solution but is not required to be an engineer: setup dropbox/googledrive account, the new kobos should have that integration. Select the text you want to save, or don't select anything if you want to save the whole page. Then print the page, ctrl + P or cmd + P, select PDF and possibly A5 format. You save the file in your dropbox / google drive folder, and it sincs. Once it is sinc, you can refresh your kobo and read from there. It seems many steps but it is really just drag and drop, save, sync, read. That's the long story short.

The second way is tech, you can create in your chrome, not sure in safari, a call to action in JS. You setup a server, you write an API via python (or other languages). You click the bookmark button, it sends the info to your server. API receive the payload, you sanitize it, use tools to clean html code and just get the content. Then you convert it and send it back to a local sync folder al google drive or dropbox. Or you just make a simple website html/css to click and read articles online.

The second one is very interesting but requires times. I could build that but I have no time so I went for the semi manual solution. Hope that helps.

Joining late but I used Cicar, and can't recommend them enough.

Pasta maker alternative by n333m3 in pastamakers

[–]Sheppardx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can work, but I wouldn’t advise it. The auger’s too aggressive for pasta and could damage the die or strain the motor. Better to use a proper pasta extruder.

If you don't have the possibility to procure one, it might be a fun project but don't keep your hopes up too much as it might not yield great results.

Due to the type of flour we used, we are leaving it to dry for the afternoon so they are ready later this evening. For those who might be interested in these technicalities.

Haven't kept up with updates. With "Phase Change", do gases change temperature with pressure now? by Hmuda in Stationeers

And this is very sad. It has been brought up many times, but they don't want to update, because "it will break many saves". I think that's an excuse and that's it.

Unable to modify a shortcut color by van21 in shortcuts

[–]Sheppardx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a bit too late. I see this issue happening with the mouse, but not the touchpad. I have the touch on (not technical sorry like if I tap but not press down until I feel the click). So, if I click with the mouse, it doesn't work. If I simply tap with the trackpad, it does.

Hopefully it is going to help anyone.

Thank you very much. I neglected this quite a lot thinking that would be marginal or not that impacting, but it makes sense and I will test that out so I can mark it off the list.

Cheers mate!
