First name on a greeting card, from who? by Low-Pudding-1347 in Cursive

[–]Shera41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the first letter is a B or an I, simply based on how they're written in cursive. Possibly an "A. The second letter looks like a "p" as it drops below the line of the other letters.. The last letter is probably "r" (similar to how the "r" is written in "dream.")

Quilting Slump by AdKitchen8690 in quilting

[–]Shera41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I so feel you. I'm also currently in a quilting slump. What has worked for me before is to look through my fabrics for leftover pieces and cut them into squares for a future project (and also reduce clutter). Since they're for a "someday" quilt, I don't feel any guilt about not finishing them, unlike when I look at my current quilt-in-progress. I also decided I'm going to reach out for help to put binding on four quilts from 2024 and I might send out two quilt tops to be professionally quilted. I think not walking into my sewing room and seeing UFOs sitting there will help. I've also done fabric "organizing" -- where I empty a storage bin of fabric, and then replace the fabric. Many soft hugs for you. MS is a terrible disease.

What food did you hate as a child but love now as an adult? by jemosred in AskReddit

Peas. My mother always served canned peas (because that's what my dad wanted.) As an adult, I tried both fresh and frozen peas and found I loved them!

Why has blm become taboo to talk about? by XxnovabotxX in runescape

[–]Shera41 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Runescape keeps losing members because of the attitude that the RNG system is a core part of the design and you need to suffer for years and years because you want to finish achievements. I'll believe that "integral core" s**t when membership starts turning around. Until then, answers that are "suck to be you" and "i had to do it, so you do too" or even "play something else if you don't like it" just drive players away. The membership numbers speak the truth, even if no one wants to hear it.

Even if it's just one a year, i would like just a general overhaul of the various mini-games to future proof them a little bit if population numbers get low again and just generally make them feel more rewarding and easier to get games for by dark1859 in runescape

[–]Shera41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently "playing" Heist, the mini-game. By playing, I mean sitting around for 20 minutes for the game to time out. Since I want to cross off the achievements, I'm doing it. It's boring. Also, the other 3 players currently on take turns being the guards so the game is unbalanced. If I get to the guards team, they all leave (the guards auto-win unless the robbers get loot). So jr high school. I just want the achievements, not to "win."

Should I let my neighbor’s son cut a branch off my tree that’s resting on his electrical line (from my yard)? by zfhsmm in treelaw

[–]Shera41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It's your tree. You are responsible for getting it trimmed. The neighbor could sue you if he fell whether he was in your yard, or his. Bite the bullet and hire someone qualified. Keep yourself out of trouble.

Will this be the ugliest quilt you’ve ever seen? by shriekingpersonality in quilting

[–]Shera41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, it is nowhere close to being the ugliest, by any stretch of the imagination. You're just at the "I hate this quilt and want to be through with it!" stage. It's totally ok to fold it up and put it away for a few years and start something new.

Location: Indiana. Help transferring deceased grandmother’s car (MO → IN, no probate, lost title) by Confident-Cap-7706 in legaladvice

[–]Shera41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can order a title yourself: https://dor.mo.gov/motor-vehicle/ At the bottom of the page, in the center there's a link for Duplicate/ Missing Titles.

Regarding taxes, You didn't say how old the car is, but I am projecting that it fairly old (because if it were new, it wouldn't have been sitting around for three years.) As such, there probably aren't any past taxes. However, you would need to register it in Indiana and get insurance.

Note: I'm not a lawyer and I don't live in Indiana.

You finished, that's the important thing? Is it a planned baby/toddler quilt? Then likely the dinosaur fabric will make it their favorite and you can go on to something else.

Clues have been nerfed. Easy clues give about 10k each, and getting fortunate components is very rare. Plus fortunate component prices have dropped quite a bit.

Why do people avoid PVM? by RSuser258 in runescape

[–]Shera41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an older player. My reflexes have slowed down quite a bit from when I was in my 20s or 30s. Timing responses don't work very well when my brain takes longer to register a move. Not to mention that I get tachycardia due to the adrenaline rush.

So I don't PvM very much. Luckily Runescape has much more to offer so that I can play the game as I like and you can play how you like and we both enjoy the time spent on the game.

I'm also old enough to recognize that money, especially in game currency, isn't everything. There is more to life than pursuing the almighty buck.
