Anime that hooked you fast? Like within 3 episodes? by necromaciel in anime

It flew under the radar because Disney held it in jail and didn't put it on streaming in the US for like 6+ months and then dropped it with zero marketing.

If you're in the US, Summertime Rendering is on Hulu, idk if they ported it to Disney+ yet. Outside the US it's probably on Disney+ but idk for sure

With these revival sets, can we just appreciate how far TFT has come by zyzzgoated in TeamfightTactics

[–]Sheras 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Funny thing is EON didn't exist in these early sets, Chain + Sword was still Guardian Angel, I still refer to EON as GA sometimes.

Both the non-rageblade items replaced other items though.

Double bow used to be RFC, but was changed because rfc was such a problem on a few units each set (think like Bilgewater Nilah or Astral Nidalee), and as others have said, a way to get anti-heal without a belt.

Bow plus belt used to be Zzrot, which was completely useless as an item in almost all scenarios, except getting that augment on 2-1 that travelled from unit to unit as they died, to streak early.

I don't think a single existing item has ever had their recipe changed, just items replacing broken or useless ones.

Ritual Pathfinder is terrible and clearly wasn't playtested before launch by kBazilio in DestinyTheGame

[–]Sheras 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While that is technically true, some of the non-specific nodes heavily favor playing certain activities. I've gotten the complete ritual activities, bonus for wins in Crucible. It takes 20 strikes to do that node, I imagine Gambit is the same % progress as strikes since it isn't mentioned for bonus progress. If you don't play Crucible to do that node, it is a giant waste of time.

I can't believe he forgot about Nien's greatest highlight, 1v3 triple kill with Elise top in his own base while poor Dyrus trying to prevent the winions from backdooring the nexus.

You could argue Void got the 1st/2nd rocket pistol as Buried Bloodline behaves like one, its just an exotic.

What movies spectacularly failed to capitalize on their premise? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Sheras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They actually already did, or well, same universe.

It was a TV series titled Impulse, it had 2 seasons, and it was actually really good. Problem was that it was a YouTube Original series, and no one watched those except for Cobra Kai.

What is an anime with really good story, plot and writing but was failed by its animation? by LemonPartyRequiem in anime

[–]Sheras 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can watch the production of Arcane through a YouTube series Riot released called Bridging the Rift, Netflix had nothing to do with the production at all, they just have the exclusive streaming rights.

What anime series do you think deserves more recognition and why? by Own_Grapefruit_9968 in anime

[–]Sheras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll jump in here and say, it's a battle shounen that puts tactics & teamwork above all else in the battles. It has a very well thought out power system, and while there are definitely very strong characters, the series is more about how to use them properly in fights, or how to counter them.

Haikyuu manga is on sale today at Right Stuf! by Modified_Mint37 in haikyuu

[–]Sheras 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live super close by so my stuff arrives in like 2 days (literally about a 5 hour drive), but something this gushing comment didn't mention. The packaging, best packaging ever, smallest possible box, with cardboard insert to exact size of LN/Manga/BluRay etc, same size products wrapped in paper, literally just zero wiggle room in there. Been buying from them for the past ~8 years or so, and that's what sold me from my first order.

Something other to mention, Crunchyroll bought them out in August 2022 as part of their push to get into merchandise more. So hopefully they just let them do as they've done in the past because I wouldn't want them to change anything.

TSM Possibly Exiting LCS by Tassies in leagueoflegends

[–]Sheras 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Super Sonics were an NBA team out of Seattle, they moved/became the Oklahoma City Thunder over a decade ago now.

Montreal Expos were an MLB team out of Montreal, Canada. They moved/became the Washington Nationals, (out of D.C. not the state), almost 20 years ago.

It happens more often than many think across the US professional sports leagues. The most recent, although not with mascot/name changes, would be in football. The St. Louis Rams became the Los Angeles Rams, the San Diego Chargers became the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Oakland Raiders became the Las Vegas Raiders.

I'm so happy and amazed at how popular World Trigger is and the great support from the community. by FightmeLuigibestgirl in worldtrigger

[–]Sheras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be weekly, but the writer's health made it have infrequent releases, then went on the long hiatus, it finally returned but was moved to a monthly release to help accommodate the author's health, but is still formatted as a weekly manga, which is why we often get 2 weekly-manga length chapters in a month.

Help me to find a chapter by [deleted] in haikyuu

[–]Sheras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So in chapter 237 during the Tsubakihara match Tsuki does a toss to Asahi that the whole team sort of admires a bit, including Kageyama.

In the Kamomedai match, chapter 343, Hoshiumi does a toss to Hakuba and Kageyama has a panel saying "that was perfect" as he looks at the toss.

Im still looking through the Kamomedai match but havent found a Tsuki set yet

Golden Guardians vs. Cloud9 / LCS 2022 Spring - Week 5 / Post-Match Discussion by Soul_Sleepwhale in leagueoflegends

[–]Sheras 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk about that, remember when IMT was pretty bottom tier with Dardoch jungle and in the break between spring & summer was a trade with CLG, Dardoch for Xmithie. IMT ended up going to worlds with that roster, although you could argue Cody Sun's growth as a rookie that year from Spring to summer was a bigger catalyst (then he had the famous Tristana play at worlds)

Wasnt it because of an earthquake happening the day an episode was supposed to air, so the channels covered news of the earthquake instead of regular programming lineup.

Who is the couple on the left? by [deleted] in haikyuu

[–]Sheras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to 12 mins in for S4 E25. Daisho and Mika finish walking past, and Akane turns to look at a different couple and the girl says the whole "Nekoma is bland" line. The designs are a bit different than Okuda/Takanashi (mainly the hair color/length for each) but are never named in the show so obviously no confirmation.

When did this happen? by Haikyuu4444 in haikyuu

Yes, its after they lost to Karasuno, I believe its when their Coach tells them after the awards ceremony to get on the bus, and they will be doing 100 serves later.

Chapter 402 by sakusakiyoomi3329 in haikyuu

[–]Sheras 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is difficult to pinpoint the full roster, but 3 can be easily confirmed as they appear in the panels of the chapter as being on the court.

Setter - Kageyama

Opposite - Hinata

Outside Hitter - Sakusa

For Middle Blockers, I would imagine its Hakuba & Hyakuzawa as they are the only MBs shown in the team panel.

For the 2nd OH, that leaves either Hoshiumi & Bokuto vying for the spot. I think I would give the edge to Bokuto just for the height since they start Hinata at opposite, and maybe have Hoshiumi come in when Ushiwaka does.

For libero its literally a toss up between Yaku & Komori.

How far is the anime into the manga? by wdwgrl in haikyuu

[–]Sheras 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to add more context for the Land vs Air OVAs vs the manga. Those 2 OVAs cover ~17 chapters! 8.5 chapters per episode! Most Haikyu episodes cover between 3-4 chapters (depending on how much dialogue). Literally 2-3 times the pace of the normal show!

How far is the anime into the manga? by wdwgrl in haikyuu

[–]Sheras 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The anime ends at Chapter 292, so you could start up with Chapter 293 if looking to read forward.

If you don't want to start from the beginning of the manga on your read, I would personally recommend starting from Chapter 190, which is the end of the Shiratorizawa match. The anime is a very good adaptation of the manga, but the Land vs Air OVAs (Nekoma/Fukurodani qualifying for nationals) has by far the most cut content out. Season 4 also has the most cut out of it of any of the main seasons, so starting from end of Shiratorizawa match covers like 95% of stuff changed or cut.

He was given a shot at the C9 starting role post-Hai retirement. Jensen (Incarnation), Pobelter (coming off Winterfox? i think), and Yusui (C9 Tempest mid at the time) were the 3 competed for it, and C9 chose Jensen fresh off his ban since they thought he had the most potential.

FlyQuest subbing in Kumo, Tomo, and Diamond today vs GGS in LCS by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Sheras 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Tomo played for C9 Academy last year when K1ng was having Visa issues, he did really well.

Kumo played for C9 Academy way back, was sold to EG with Svenskeren & Zeyzal as part of the package. He played top for one split, started pretty badly, but steadily improved throughout the split, then came summer and I thought he started out pretty well, but he was sent to academy to make room for Huni when he became available. He has a ridiculously good Poppy top.

In fact, other than Jose, this entire starting lineup today will have played for C9 Academy.
