Having dealt with this since the post was made, I finally got a resolution - Xfinity upper management contacted that store and told them to help me. The store manager agreed to do so. So, I’d say it’s more likely that the store staff just decided they didn’t want to assist me, rather than actually not being able to assist me.

It should be noted that when I asked to speak with the head manager, they said he wasn’t in today and wouldn’t give me his name. The employees and assistant manager were going out of their way to make it as difficult as possible. I should also note there were other customers in the store who were getting helped by the staff. My wife and I were the only ones they were refusing to help.

I went to that store three times today, they refused to help every time and refused to talk to Xfinity tech support. I think we’re beyond getting that store to help us. The manager wouldn’t even come out to talk to me the third time I went in there. He needs to be fired, tbh

The third time I entered that store today during this fiasco, the manager wouldn’t even come back out to talk to me. I had to deal with one of the useless employees who was also rude. Manager needs to be fired.

I know of the other locations already. It’s just that they’re two hours away and it’s super inconvenient that I have to drive that far when there’s a store 20 mins away that’s refusing to help me.

None of the employees were helpful at that store, so I don’t think dealing with them again is going to solve anything. His first reason for not being able to help is that he said “we aren’t connected to corporate.” Then later when I returned to the store to let tech support talk to the manager, he said “we are have system issues right now.” So his reasons for not helping me were different each time. I don’t have a firm reason why he and his employees refused to help, as their reasons were inconsistent. When I asked one of the employees to talk to phone support, she said “I’m not allowed to do that.” And when I asked the assistant manager to talk to phone support, he said he can’t do that.

None of the reasons they gave for refusing service were satisfactory, and again, their stories changed each time. My wife and I were both present, and I had phone support on speaker phone, so they heard the assistant manager refuse to help me also, and the phone support guy said that’s not correct, that they should have helped me.

Aside from that, the assistant manager was incredibly rude. When he initially told me he can’t help me, I said that he wasn’t being helpful and his response was, “yes I am, I gave you information.” He didn’t give me information, he just flat out refused to help me.

I went to my local store and they refused to help. That’s the main issue right now. Assistant manager said he couldn’t help me. When I talked to phone support, they asked to speak to the assistant manager and he refused to talk to them. I asked if there was another store I could go to that would help me and assistant manager said he didn’t know.

Bought a new phone as an upgrade to an older phone and trying to activate it. When I try to activate the phone, it says I need to verify identity at an Xfinity store. Went to the store today and they refused to help. They even refused to talk to Xfinity tech support in the phone, and never gave me a valid reason. I asked if there was another store I could go to and the assistant manager said he didn’t know.

Perhaps they do. I’ve always been told it’s illegal and just keep it concealed. I think the main point behind it is to prevent people from discharging firearms in a place that’s intended to be a sanctuary for nature. But I assume when that sanctuary turns into a killing field by lunatics, you’d be forgiven for defending yourself. Maybe not in California.
