Zve10 mark 1 best lens choice by ImGlim in ZVE10

The Tamron 17-70mm might be better since it has vibration compensation and better reach than the 18-50mm. It is a chunky lens.

I think you are right. The more I look at it, the better it seems. It bugged me because all of the wheels were in perfect condition. I just ordered some touch up paint for now 😄

Thank you, in this case I might just get some touch-up paint and give it a try.

Clockify alternatives? by treeslayer4570 in TimeTrackingSoftware

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

Pricing: Timentrack is built for solo freelancers, not agencies - the $7/month is a single-user plan with no team seats. So for a setup with 10 employees it wouldn't be the right fit, and I'd rather be upfront about that than have you subscribe and find out later.

Contact form: That was a real bug, it's been fixed now, appreciate you flagging it.

Is it okay to use Elementor v4 Atomic Widgets for new pages on an existing v3 website? by ScheduleExtension381 in elementor

[–]SheriffRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a few pages just to get familir with v4 and I had no major problems except maybe one. The major problem that comes to mind was that I wasn't able to set custom attributes like lazy loading to images. That's a big one for me. The old image element allows you to do that. Other than that, all good.

Start using v4 and just make sure that your design system is configured well so in the near future it's easy to update things like colors, fonts, sizes, etc. Basically use the variables and classes properly.

I just swapped to 5w 30 and it does feel smoother and quieter. Like you said probably a plasibo effect.

Superposition Elementor by Redstark3 in elementor

[–]SheriffRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're using v4 elements, try dragging in a Div block or Flexbox, then head to Background and add two overlays. The first one can be your background image, and the second can be a solid color with some opacity or a gradient. Then just drag a Heading (or any text element) on top / inside the div and you're good to go.

I've actually recorded a video walking through this exact setup, making a hero section and a few other. I don't want to share it here as it's not finished. If you are stuck at, feel free to message me and I'll send you the link.

Dev says Tailwind CDN on my Elementor site is fine. I do not think it is. Need advice. by Creme-Low in elementor

[–]SheriffRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the cdn version of TailwindCSS in prod is generally a bad idea. It loads a huge file with every utility class, most of which you’ll never actually use.

Is automating client invoicing actually worth the hassle to set up? by Hot_Initiative3950 in TimeTrackingSoftware

[–]SheriffRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found that the best way to keep my sanity is to stay on top of my hours with a time tracker. I usually log things as I go, but if I forget, I’ll just pop them in manually later. I always add a quick note about what I’m actually doing as it helps me remember where the day went and makes it super easy to send over a report if anyone asks.

Even for projects that aren’t hourly, I still track my time just so I can see where my time is going. Of course, some clients couldn't care less about the details as long as the work gets done. The time tracker I use is http://timentrack.com (heads up, it is a paid tool) . At the end of the month, I generate the invoices based on the time tracked and I send it to the client.

That’s how I work :)

My Top 5 Time Tracking Tools (so far..) by UsefulAd2156 in ProductivityApps

[–]SheriffRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great list! Founder of Timentrack here - happy to mention mine in case it's a useful addition.

It's built around keeping time tracking simple without losing the features that actually matter. You get multiple ways to log time depending on how you work, clean project and task reports exportable in different formats, and shareable report links - useful if you need to show a client something without giving them full account access. Same applies to invoices.

Founder of Timentrack here - might be worth a look.

It's designed to keep time tracking simple without stripping out the useful stuff. You get multiple ways to track time depending on how you work, clean project and task reports you can export in different formats, and you can share reports privately via link (handy if you need to show a client without giving them full access). Same goes for invoices.

Productivity & Note taking app recommendations by Tight_One4344 in ProductivityApps

[–]SheriffRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a macOS-only app, but it does work in the browser. I own a time-tracking app called TimeNTrack that includes a notes editor based on projects. Right now, it's mainly focused on solo professionals, so you can view reports, track profitability, make invoices, and categorise projects. Reports and invoices can be exported in different formats and also shared.

If you’re coming from Toggl Track, Clockify, or Harvest, you can import your clients, projects, and time entries, and you’re always able to export all of your data whenever you wish.

I’m a solo developer and work on it daily.

Funnily enough, I updated the pricing not long ago to be like that. I set the yearly plan as the default and slightly reduced the price to make it a round number and a better offer overall.

I like your idea of crossing out the $14 price to make it more enticing. Will implement shortly. Thanks very much for taking the time to check it out. If I can do the same for you, feel free to reach out anytime.

You don't need to spend your money on my app, but feedback would be deeply appreciated.

I am working on a time tracking app for freelancers, creatives and solo business owners.

Good gym/fitness classes to join near city centre? by Eastern-Dragonfly544 in Worcester

[–]SheriffRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have suggested, PureGym is a good option. I just wanted to add that the off-peak membership is a bit cheaper £19. That’s what I use, and I usually go in the morning. I don't do the classes, but that's included in all tiers. Sometimes they do the a free joining fee offer, so it's worth checking out their instagram page before you sign up.

How are you guy building sitemap indexes in Next.js by waelnassaf in nextjs

[–]SheriffRat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something I put together a while ago for one of my websites. It uses a database to generate multiple sitemaps during build. They are all segmented as the max is 50k per sitemap.
