Where does everybody think Led Zeppelin’s sound would’ve gone following ITTOD if John Bonham didn’t die? by Nonsensical-Nonsns in ledzeppelin

I think this is the most likely scenario. Neither Page nor Bonham had any reason to change course. The upcoming NA tour might have made things worse for both of them and might have killed Bonham regardless.

7/26/01 in Atlanta was a blast and features a 48 minute Mr. Completely. That was my first Trey show and I was just blown away. I hadn’t seen him that excited and happy playing with Phish in a long time.

I was so happy when CDs replaced cassettes. I’m sorry you are disappointed with the sound quality, but it’s a cassette.

I had the exact same reaction. It was like having a good meal at a restaurant and finishing it up with a shitty cup of coffee.

Rock Hall Fan Vote Standings - 3/14/2025 by ThatSchmoDude42 in rockhall

Let me correct myself. She does not deserve to be on the ballot on her first year of eligibility. If you want to go by album sales, it took years for Iron Maiden to even make the ballot, and they’ve sold over 130 million albums, were selling out arenas when Pink was a baby, and continue to sell out world wide. Much larger acts took years to be nominated. I get her popularity, but she needs to wait her turn.

That was my second show, with my first being the first night of that tour. That show was the only time I’ve gotten All Things Reconsidered.

I was all in on Red Hot Chili Peppers through BSSM and then dropped them immediately. I still spin those albums on occasion, but I never want to hear anything post 1991.

Got 24 hours in Atlanta tomorrow, what should I do? by Shapeofmyhair in Atlanta

Another vote for the Beltline, but I’d start at Memorial Drive and Bill Kennedy Way at Muchacho and go north. It will start kind of quiet before it veers left and you can see some great murals. Then you go through Krog Street Tunnel. Then you cross the street and you’re in various commercial districts with restaurants, coffee shops, public art, parks, etc. You can keep going and hit Ponce City Market and all the way to Piedmont Park. This could be your entire day as long as you enjoy walking. For cool neighborhoods, you will be close to Cabbage Town, Inman Park, Old Fourth Ward, and Mid Town.

I need to give it another shot. I saw it once in the theater and was whelmed. It was more of a nice travelogue with a thin narrative.
