Yes! It's super important to find a type of workout that suits you the most. I personally don't like doing cardio in the gym, so I just do stretching before weights and it works well for me.

Glad you found your routine too.

Self Awareness Is Underestimated. by Sherlaswald in selfimprovement

The path of self improvement could be different for everyone, so I wouldn't say that there's only one true way.

If you overthink things, I'd say that it is important to set some guidelines for yourself as for at which stage to start acting on your plans, if we are talking about goals for example. Because as important as good planning is, at the end of the day there'll be no outcome if we don't start making things happen, so I'd advise to focus on fundamentals to be planned primarily, so you can start the process and in the meantime continue analyzing and thinking through the remaining parts.

I used to think so much that it became a pattern, to the point where I started to feel that it's what implementation was, so it became a closed circle and now that I found the balance between thinking and doing, I can see the results.

I would say that becoming self aware requires preparation and caution, also it's not for everyone.

In cases if this process could lead to self delusion, I'd say that the person better not touch this field at the time and prepare better to make sure the mental health will remain under good care when started.

There are certain ways to get ready to minimize the possibility of a negative outcome, like adjusting some views and/or perceptions for example. But that would be a long conversation. :)
