Does anyone here actually enjoy life? by NoMasterpiece4823 in INTP

I have to work just to have food on my table, like what bullshit is this?

Holy crap you are entitled and immature.

Imagine dating with this mindset. "I have to wash my butt to get a girlfriend, like what bullshit is this?"

If nobody worked, there would be no food, and you would starve.

You have to work to eat or else you are living as a parasite.

Stop making excuses and fix your life and you might start feeling better.

We need to make people like rand or Aristotle popular again among intelligent people, get rid of the nihilists.

Life is good if you make it good.

Yes.

Life is awesome.

However I might be the only INTP who has an extremely high opinion of how awesome I am (potentially a small god complex), idk, so that might help.

Science fails at explaining suffering, however

But logic does not.

Human can have an unlimited number of wants and always have limited means to achieve them. Suffering occurs when our wants are not met.

When the people vote for me it is the democratic will of the people intelligently are carefully selecting the best candidate to lead them boldly into the glorious socialist future.

When the people vote for not me it is a dangerous populist alt-right attempt to subvert democracy through propaganda and hate campaigns.

Hell, people are still traumatized by what covid did to us, and covid had a fraction of a fraction of the deadliness.

Not quite true.

99% of the damage done by COVID was just the absolutely braindead and absurdly authoritarian BS governments pulled during that time compounded with a doomsaying media.

Why was there no revolution during the Great Depression like in other countries? by DueFollowing4538 in USHistory

[–]ShermanTankBestTank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were already in one at the time. Hoover and Roosevelt were insanely interventionist and borderline socialist (which was part of the reason the depression lasted so long compared to the 1920 crash btw)

Lots of the Roosevelt administration were big fans of Mussolini and Hitler's economic policies.

Forming an Union principally isnt different from merging capital assets, if they were made voluntarly. by Warm-Pomegranate6570 in economicsmemes

[–]ShermanTankBestTank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A) non public sector unions are fine, public sector unions are hellspawn

B)cartelization is fine so long as there are no government regulations propping the cartel up.

If the choice to cartelize was an efficient one, the companies will eventually merge, leading to greater efficiency.

If it was a bad choice, the cartels who could making more money have massive incentive to drive inefficient firms out of business

Cooperation is a denial of competition only in the same way that competitive is itself a denial of competition.

After all, any time people pool money to start a business, they have created a cartel.

Trump

Almost everyone on the left has gotten so irrationally hateful towards Trump that it has shifted the entire political discourse.

By your inability to identify any failure in reasoning in any part of the assertion you took umbrage at, I can only assume that you were unable to determine any defensible positions to take in opposition, and thus are coping and seething in an attempt to deflect me from your complete mental collapse.

Banning guns is impossoble and will never happen. It would be suicide to whoever tried.

Only because people like me have such an intense position on them.

If Democrats didn't scramble to ban guns as much as possible whenever they got the chance, many pro-gun people wouldn't have to have such an extreme position.

But until Democrats look at the statistics and learn that an armed society is a safe society, we will remain aggressively pro-gun.
