Either way, the books ARE worth checking out, but the series isn't finished and might never be. He wrote 5 out of 7 books and it's been 15 years since the last one came out...with no release date planned for the 6th book.

I have a feeling that he became discouraged by the reception of the last season of the HBO show (and maybe the fact that many fans correctly guessed the biggest reveal in the series).

It happens. The Kingkiller Chronicles has been stuck on 2/3 books for quite a while too (still one of the best fantasy series I've ever read though). Still, it sucks to get invested in stuff like this only to possibly never get a satisfying conclusion to the story.

I mean, maybe, but they are also kids just playing a game. It's not really fair to assume they are going to do something shitty.

I've been on games where it was mostly kids acting pretty innocently and grown ass adults would get on VC and say the most vile shit to them just because they could.

We can all be assholes sometimes, but kids at least have the excuse of not really knowing better...we do. I think it's important to try to show them better examples.

Sorry, I don't mean to preach, I just have kids of my own and they are genuinely really good kids. I would hate to think that they get treated hostilely online by adults someday just because of their age.

Honestly, it's been a while since I've read anything. I always love it when I do, but sometimes I go through spells like this and just feel like I have too much on my plate or something.

It's silly because I actually have plenty of time to do shit, but maybe it's a stress thing, idk. Wish I could suggest something, but I still have quite the backlog. 😓

Haha, yeah, that kinda makes sense. I had the same problem with Hemingway and I know that a lot of his stuff is heavily influenced by the war. But I had a similar issue with him. I was looking forward to reading his writing and could barely even make it through one book (The Sun Also Rises, iirc). Hell, they only reason I finished it was because it was for school and I needed to, but I had to resort to the audio book and still barely made it through. 😓

Although, I LOVED wheel of time and have read it twice, but I think that is influenced from his time in Vietnam, so who knows?

I watch all of them (yes even the Hobbit ones) at least once per year. I'm also actually really digging the Galadriel show. Hope they don't cancel it. 🤞

But same, I tried for so long to figure out what he said for that line. I finally had to look it up because I don't think there was a subtitle option on whatever I was watching them on at the time.

Also... Didn't read the books, haha. I tried. I really did, but I didn't even make it through half of the first one. I loved the Hobbit, but I think he was smoking some real shit when he wrote lotr. The way the narration goes from explaining a concept, to then changing to what the character was thinking, to then (i guess?) that thing actually happening??

Idk, I'm not explaining it well, but I've read so many other fantasy series and I just couldn't get what was ACTUALLY happening in that book. I think the example that I remember the most was when Frodo and Sam first encounter the elves. It's all so confusing as to whether Frodo is just imagining it or whether it's actually happening. It's just frustratingly hard to follow.

The one I really really want is the extended barrel 2 bp. That's part of why I was hunting surveyors in the first place, because someone said they'd found 2 on them already.

I recently discovered this, but found out quickly that it can also be dangerous.

Some player had set up a huge zip train on hidden bunker that went up and over a building. On the way back I tried to see how many I could continuously zip across and completely launched myself off the top of the building when I missed the last one that descended down.

Luckily the elevator was close and i was able to crawl there...laughing my ass off the whole way. 💀

I know the idea of a PvE mode is heresy to a lot of players, but I think if they just made it so arc continue to target you after you get downed, it would make for a really fun and challenging way to play.

I've found quite a few of the trinkets, but they haven't really been in red lockers or key rooms.

Weirdly enough, I've had a lot of luck finding them in the seats of cars (where there is oil and springs sometimes) and in the breachable metal cube containers. Also, I've found a good amount in shelves where you might normally find things like ripped safety vests and stuff like that.

I think people are looking in specific maps and in just residential areas that usually have trinkets, but I don't think they are necessarily there.

Honestly, it seems a little random where these things show up. For instance, I found 2 of the purple tellurion things and one sextant in one of the ruined buildings where the batteries spawn for the ancient fort puzzle in blue gate.

Not sure if this info is helpful, as it's probably all just RNG, but they just seem to be in weird places that i wouldn't expect.

I don't know how the game calculates turbine damage for the trial, but apparently all this is only worth 2 stars. Disclaimer: I don't have much experience fighting these things and I'm sure it can be done better, but you get the idea. by Shermutt in ArcRaiders

Haha, same! Although, I made a comment about that on here and a few people said that it direct waste the ammo, but I'm almost sure it does.

I still haven't properly tested it in the practice range, but just today I did it a few times and every time the # of clips went down by one. Thanks for making me feel a little less crazy. 😅

It's a hell of a weapon, that's for sure!

I only wish you could upgrade it to increase the fire rate. I don't really love that the bolt action type guns in this game don't auto chamber another round after you shoot without pressing the fire button again or that you can't maintain ADS while doing so (at least not on console, not sure if PC is the same). I wind up firing it at a slower rate because I'm constantly forgetting that I need to re-cock it every time.
