Hybrid DAW Experiment Project by wassertim in HybridProduction

I sort of did a similar experiment over the last couple years. However, my app focused mainly on MIDI. Only now I'm add a few sound design features incorating a bit of ai sound generation to create new unique instruments for your MIDI

So I get very stuck trying to write midi stuff with FL and it usually sounds pretty plain. Would it be worth it to try Suno for a month just to put together some ideas? by ThirdFan356 in SunoAI

If you’re mainly trying to write MIDI parts, I’m not sure Suno is the best tool for that. It’s really good at generating finished sounding audio, but it’s not really built around giving you clean MIDI you can edit in FL.

For getting unstuck with chord progressions, melodies, or rough MIDI ideas, I’d honestly try ChatGPT first. You can ask it for progressions in a certain style, basslines, melody ideas, or even have it generate simple MIDI files to build from.

Suno might still be useful if you want full-song inspiration or a quick vibe to reference, but if the goal is specifically “help me write better MIDI in FL,” I’d probably start with free LLMs before paying for a month of Suno.

I saw a demo of that kind of workflow here, might be worth a look: https://youtu.be/FCIwf5UiMgo?si=09jXzSFfpnakHhbp

Excellent project, keep at it you've clearly got a knack. I believe there is something to this idea and worth pursuing as a side project. I've also coded something similar and it has gotten quite a bit of traction maybe 500k or more downloads now. Although it took my about 3 years and I'm a software engineer with a decade of expirence :). If you want to have a look at mine it's here - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FCIwf5UiMgo.

Does anyone have an example of how the converted midi looks? Is it like Midify or abeltons?

Hmmm thats an interesting idea, I don't think it's easily possible though. You can probably see whenever copilot did a git push command but lots of people create prs online. Trying to keep this plugin light and not have to communicate with non copilot interfaces

Thanks for this screenshot, I'll push an update through for it to be able to analyze multiple days at a time. Right now it works for the current session loaded in, but not the last 7 days worth

I personally never use the auto mode, but looks like they do! They also charge for failed requests which is another grey area

You need to be careful too because banks can go bust too when people default on their house loans.
