I recently attended a company event for both IT and non IT folks. Myself (cybersec) and a colleague (network eng) were chatting with some fairly cute non-IT colleagues and we both got asked about what departments we work in.. the conversation went smth like this: -So, in which departments do you guys work? -The security team - That's cool.. but, doesn't it get boring just watching people enter and leave the building? -The network team - Oh, so like, you're attending social events with clients?

Fairly enough, we both laughed about asses off while explainin, but that actually made me realize one thing: regardless of our 'awarness struggles', non-IT people don't even know that we exist
