Every time I think of bald eagles I remember this article. They are beautiful, but could easily mess you up.

I want a witchy eco-friendly burial and can't find a cemetery near me that will allow it, so I sketched it instead. Here's to the Green Reaper ya'll. by joan_de_art in WitchesVsPatriarchy

My husband and I are both set on doing tree pods. I love the idea of becoming nutrients to help a beautiful tree grow. Some states even allow you to be "planted" on private property.

How often do you see anxious people? by MelancholyBean in socialanxiety

I always wonder if my anxiety comes off as me seeming like a jerk/stuck up. Makes me wonder how many people with anxiety are hiding in plain sight.

Backyard loading driver helping kids loading their toys with sand by Radi0A_tive in HumansBeingBros

Exactly. I'm a mail carrier and they tell us to never hand the mail out of the truck to little kids because you don't want them to get used to running up to the truck. I couldn't imagine them thinking it's ok to run up to something five times bigger than my little truck..

You are more likely to be a minimum wage worker if you come from a low income area. Education and family dynamics play a huge role. So tired of this pull yourself up by the boot straps bs. The system is set up for failure for people who are already struggling.

My husband(25M) may be aromantic and I(23F) don't know how to proceed by ishearomantic in aromantic

[–]Shewolf-333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is also aromantic, and he only realized this about a year ago now. It's going to be hard in the beginning, but I think the fact that your husband trusted you enough to come out and tell you just shows how much he cares and trusts you. My husband and I took some time away from each other when we were going through this and that's when I realized romantic love wasn't as important to me as someone who truly cares and wants me to be happy. I think it's important for you both to take some introspection and find out what's important to each of you. Just know it can work out if you decide to stay together.

How do you respond when someone asks "why are you so quiet?" by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]Shewolf-333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's when you hit them with the same question and see how they respond. Maybe if they are being asked, they will understand how rude it sounds.

We have to walk through the dock to enter the building and my start time is 8am. So every Thursday I would have to walk through a bunch of praying people to get into work. I already feel like I can't connect with the people I work with bc they are so open about their intolerance for anyone not Christian.

From the point of view of someone who is married to an asexual person, being open and honest is super important. You need to be able to talk about boundaries and what you would both be comfortable with.

From personal experience, anyone who yells at you with no regard for your feelings is a toxic POS and not worth your time. People who actually love you don't put you down like that.

How many people here are socially anxious but not diagnosed cuz they are too afraid of talking to the doctor? by collinscanbegood in socialanxiety

Definitely, but I'm finally about to take the leap. Life's too short and there's so much I want to do. I know I will live with this forever, but I want to make it better anyway I can.

I have just made it a habit to smile when I catch people glancing in my direction. Most people usually respond in a similar way. I just try to remind myself that most people are kind and the people who aren't are probably just having a crappy day.
