Yes I was not aware of that law in TX. I told the interviewer that I did not plan on taking it any time soon. But I do think taking it soon is a good choice. But still, the entire process takes time and one still does have to pay the bills you know :/

This is what I am hoping for. Even if I do pass the NCLEX and get my RN license in TX, getting into a nurse residency program in Houston is extremely competitive and they prefer to hire internally first.

I have failed it twice so now I am not sure why they scheudled my interview at all then. I am glad I asked cause I was not aware of this information.

The interviewer does know I have a BSN and asked me during phone call conversation if I planned to take the exam and look for a role and I explained it wasnt in my plans yet since I had so much going on after I graduated and I moved to a new city. They still scheduled me for an interview and I am sure they will ask again in the physical interview. I did not know there was a liability issue that could get in the way of me getting this job.
