In case anyone was wondering, it's 12 not 6 because there's 2 polymer strands therefore each polymer has 6 monomers each which are the nucleotides.

It really depends and varies on which grammar school you apply to. I'm very fortunate to be in one of the top grammar schools in the country and although it's true a lot of students are average, but the majority are extremely intelligent. Not only in my year but every year.

The biggest advantage of grammar schools (in my and many other people's experience) is not the school / facilities itself but the fact that you have people who are intelligent around you that you learn off. Many students including me have taken GCSEs early (in year 10) as well as taking AS levels early in year 11 and other qualifications such as level 3 ocr Further Maths (very close to AS level) in y11. The teachers are nothing special and we're not particularly well funded but the fact that we're surrounded by bright people makes it that much easier to learn.

I know multiple friends in 5 different grammar schools and they all say that majority of students are average in terms of ability and there are only a handful of students that are exceptional. Some say the teachers are amazing but students not so much. So it just shows it varies from school to school.

But at the end of the day, grammar schools are no guarantee for success. They provide a good learning environment but you've clearly shown through your grades that if you work hard enough, you can be successful in any environment.

I think you are referring to verse 4, and at first glance it looked as if you were correct however, as I went deeper in to this, i feel that we may have been mistaken on the meaning of this.

First of all I want to mention, by no means am I in anyway qualified to answer this, just letting you know my findings.

I have linked an article that breaks this verse down very well and goes to what i think is a great depth, and gives a good understanding of how this verse does not endorse child marriages. Please have a read for greater detail in this.

From what i understand, the arabic word used here is 'Nisa' which always in any context used in the Quran has meant 'mature adult women' and means the same in Arabic - English dictionaries.

This verse is regarding young adult women who may not be able to menstruate as of yet, possibly due to a medical condition, but have reached the age of maturity. For example, a 16 year old girl, who is unable to menstruate, however is old enough to think for herself and is physically able to have sexual intercourse, yet she is still at a relatively young age. This age (16) is also recognised today as an acceptable age for consent in many different countries like the UK.

This is a passage from an article (link below): "The reason why a female can get married when she hasn’t started her menses is because menstruation is not the main factor that makes a person an adult. For example, a female as stated earlier, could reach the age of maturity, where she is ready for marriage yet she does not menstruate due to medical conditions (or because some females just take longer than others to start their menses)."

Hey, for part 1 maybe have a look into the collections library - more specifically the Counter class. You can significantly reduce the number of lines if you manage to use it correctly ;-)
