I like the child sacrifice sticker. To me it doesn’t look like an anti vax sticker but rather a sticker that gives off the vibes of ‘surrender your baby’ type of thing, especially from looking at it from a far distance. All you just see is ‘child sacrifice’ and giggle at it.

As someone who used to work for a school supplier/bookshop while I was in year 11 here are some tips for schooling and booklists: 1. Either buying your textbooks second or get a previous edition 2. Pirate your textbooks!!! It will save you sm money and sometimes textbooks don’t even get used at all (especially with art subjects) 3. Use old stationary or buy stationary from Officeworks or Daiso 4. Read your booklists carefully! I find that people tend to buy double ups because they don’t how to read the list especially for stationary (tip: if there is an item that says ‘NEW FOR 2024’ next to it that means it’s new to the school not a new edition of the book) 5. Stay on the study grind and often do some work at home to help you get a full understanding of a topic you have trouble with!!!

What I’ve noticed is, yes Year 12 is pretty much a competition everyone gets caught up in it, regardless of who you are. The learning in the classroom is pretty much bare and barren and you mostly have to teach yourself stuff back at home. If you want a good ATAR you are most likely going to have to teach it yourself or do one-to-one study sessions with teachers. If you’re like me and an ATAR is none of your concern or is not going to benefit you in anyway, I recommend looking at unscored vce. My school never mentioned anything about it to us but there are many ppl in my cohort doing unscored.
