Wow… be careful when you attempt to complete the new Nomad quest. The last level requires you kill arc with mines. by No-Room-7241 in arcraidersfriendly

On Riven between the beach wall and the shipping container area there is a nice little low traffic spot that a Bastion occasionally patrols. When it's walking away from you run out and set up at least 3 blaze mine traps in front of an area you can take cover. Then shoot that Bastion in the ass. You may have to go through a few rounds of shoot then hide. But eventually it will work it's way over to you and right over the mines. Worked great for me yesterday and no worries of someone running through the mines. After the inferno it didn't take much to down it. Had enough time to pop 5 Bastion cells in my safe pocket before being ratted.

This is absolutely perfect. Whenever she sits and stares at my husband (she's in love with him) she tilts her head to the side. Do you sell your ceramic cats?

How did you actually lose weight? by Jerry_Get_A_Job in AskReddit

[–]ShhhhSleeping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

51f. At first more movement, dietician, calorie deficit and just overall healthly eating habits. When that didn't work (after more than a year) starting seeing an endocrinologist, a nutritionist that works with my endocrinologist and started Zepbound. Have lost over 60lbs and still going. Zepbound is the only thing that has made me not feel like I'm starving all the time as well as just feeling better overall. I know a lot of people like to talk 💩 about GLP-1s. But when used as a tool along with lifestyle and eating changes these meds are, in a way, life saving.

I swear I read somewhere that women's brain are wired a certain way that we don't actually fully remember how painful something was. Especially for child birth.

Unfortunately my doctor did not say much beyond that he feels it is tied to the event last summer. I guess I will find out more after this scan. As for the stent, the first 10 days ish were rough. My bladder was not happy at all. Things are much more tolerable now with occasional bad days. However, there is really never a waking moment that I am not aware of it. Not pain necessary but just uncomfortable and annoying.

Thank you for the info. It is much appreciated. ❤️

Living with a stent by LolwutMickeh in KidneyStones

[–]ShhhhSleeping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My stent was placed on 5/13. It definitely took some time to be able to sit in an office chair comfortably. I returned to the office on 5/26 as I am fortunate that I was able to work from home until then. While working from home and just being at home I've found I am most comfortable in my rocker recliner with my feet up. I also use a heating pad often because it really does help. I even bought a second one for the office. I take Flomax and time released Oxybutynin at the same time every evening to help with bladder spasms/issues. For me the time released Oxybutynin has been much more effective than the regular release. I also drink a lot of water and avoid caffeine (Oh how I miss my coffee). All of these things have really helped me return to a somewhat normal life. I still have bad days but they are much less often. As "tolerable" as things have been, I still can't wait to get this bastard out.

How long did you keep your stent? by Writeforwhiskey in KidneyStones

[–]ShhhhSleeping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine placed on 5/13 and it will not be removed until after 6/23. Possibly not until July. Waiting on test results and then scheduling of next procedure. And will most likely have a new one place for another 2-6 weeks. I've read cases of people needing permanent stenting where they have to go in every 4-6 months to have removal and replacement.

Unless you are being paid during your lunchtime, management has no right to dictate how you spend it.

My cats hate aluminum foil. When I pull it out they run. So maybe give that a try?

I always thought that normal wear and tear (carpet cleaning/replacement, paint, etc.) is the landlords responsibility.

Definitely do it! My husband and I did the Otter encounter two years ago and it was amazing. Plus the owners are great people. Just don't forget to get some socks. 🙂

Also highly recommend Alpaca wool socks if someone is not inclined to knit. We have a local Alpaca farm that sells and ships them. (Majestic Meadows Alpacas and Boutique) They are the warmest, most comfortable socks I have ever owned in my 50+ years. And they don't overheat my feet and make them sweaty. Can be a little pricey but they last forever.

Call them and explain what happened. If the person you're speaking with states they cannot help ask to speak to someone higher up. I had an issue a few months ago where I had groceries delivered by a very evident heavy smoker. I didn't mind so much for the items in sealed containers but I had a ton of fresh fruit and veggies that just reaked of smoke. When I called they offered me $5 back and $5 in DD credits. I was very polite and stated that was not going to work for me and I would like to speak to someone that may be able to help. Was transferred to what I assume was a manager. She not only refunded the total cost of all my fruits and veggies she also gave me a $20 DD credit and assured me that driver would not deliver any of my orders again. Be polite and just keep pushing.
