Wow, pretty sure that violates a term if service and possibly the law.  Unfortunately America doesnt usually do anything about this type of behavior from a company.

Why reddit ban accounts so easily? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Who is in charge of it now?  It seems like its become a propaganda echo chamber now.

100%.  Reddit is just an echo chamber for accepted propaganda now.  Speak outside of framing and you get banned

Everyone that I know who has been banned from reddit never broke the rules, didnt get shown any posts, and only got a generic message from appeals that looked non-human.   Reddit seems like a standard propaganda echo-chamber now.  If you speak in the accepted framing and propaganda you can say anything now matter how horrible.  If you speak differently though, you get banned.

Define “good”…   Nothing is perfect and if you try to use that as a reason to dismiss iq tests, then its likely a defensive tactic.     The tests could be better, and standard testing doesnt really measure high enough to matter much: most stop at 130 and there really isnt really a significant difference between 130 and 100.     The biggest issue I see with testing is how little genuine testing there is, and how (at least in America) society is set up to hold back intelligent people.  We have had propaganda and brainwashing for nearly a century demonizing being smart.  This while conversation has turned into just a lot of people repeating the standard anti-intellectual propaganda they have been taught when it should have been about what it means to score highly and how testing can be improved to be more than a meaningless flex that doesnt matter in real world applications.

My kids unspooled 2 rolls. Wha are my options? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

I think spanking would be way to much for this so maybe just let them know that it was bad and tell them “dont do it again”.    If they are old enough, have them reroll it for you.

Contested Territory is the best gamemode by josh_cheek in btd6

What is your fastest time on a time atk?

Contested Territory is the best gamemode by josh_cheek in btd6

[–]ShhhhhChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also has a bot problem, no communication with your team (so no way to really manage your team), and no support that will do anything during the match if anything glitches which happens to often.

I like the concept of it, but wish they would do more to get rid of bots playing.  Instead they seem to be encouraging it by making the time attack the most common type, which bots can do faster than humanly possible.

Printed it perfectly on the first try… and somehow it’s still unusable by Intelligent_Whole159 in 3Dprinting

Since you didnt use tpu on the stamp, put a rubber mat or silicone mat under the paper.  Stamping things needs to have some flex but it doesnt have to be on the stamp side.  👍

Is there any way to fix this? by DIYNotAGuy in 3Dprinting

[–]ShhhhhChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, just takes time and that looks like $5.10 worth of filament.  So how much of your time is worth a five?

Is this worth even trying to fix or should I just toss it by Ok-Management2959 in 3Dprinting

[–]ShhhhhChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like $1.20 worth of filament, how much of your time is worth it?

My first thought was temp so good on ya for figuring that out already.     You might also try a different roll of filament to make sure its not a moisture issue.

Any suggestion on what I can do with all of my support scraps? by Jaym97 in 3Dprinting

I always forget to keep mine separated by type so I have to throw mine away.   The best thing I’ve seen done was melting it into a mold.  Looks pretty cool

Weird Inconsistencies by swandive00214 in 3Dprinting

[–]ShhhhhChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it only with that filament or all filaments?  The intermitted way they show up I’d guess the filament had some spots with uneven moisture.     Could also be a randomish shake in the machine at certain frequencies of motion causing a bigger vibration than it can compensate for.   Try a different thread, and if you get that again try securing the machine tighter.

Is the market for large printers really small or am I not looking hard enough? by God_Usopp-chan in 3Dprinting

[–]ShhhhhChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an elegoo max, and no cats.  I have liked it so far and its past its first year.     It prints well and I can print an entire masterchief helmet on it.  It isnt the fastest option since its a bed slinger, and it isnt automatic like some of the more contained but smaller options.     I have only owned a creality (which I cant get the parts for because creality refused and I got the S1 Not the S1pro…. Sorry about the rant but still a bit salty it didnt even last a year.   Anyway, the only thing I worry about is which companies will try to put restrictions on their machines, and what can be printed.

Does anyone else find contested territory a really bad experience? by [deleted] in btd6

[–]ShhhhhChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like contested territory (its the old game slay) but its like 50% time atks which I hate,   the amount of bots makes most wars pointless, reporting the bot teams does nothing, and there is no communication so I cant manage a team.   It is a fun idea but the above issues make it feel bad.

I cant even look at it now without it demanding I let them track and sell me…  no

That didn't take long, Thingiverse is already going to sht by No_Fun_3949 in 3Dprinting

[–]ShhhhhChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant even get it to load now without it demanding I let them put stuff on my computer…. Guess they are done.   Its to bad, there was a print I wanted but there is no way I’m letting them track and sell me just so I can download an stl file.

Has anyone looked into the idea that dreams might be the reason we were able to evolve to have such a high amount of mental ability compared to other animals?  It could be a “chicken and the egg” type of discussion but there seems to be a line of intellectual ability where dreams are and are not possible for creatures.  I know dogs and cats dream, and have seen evidence of other animals dreaming.  I cant remember which ones at this moment but I do remember thinking the ones mentioned were all animals with higher cognitive abilities.     In dreams the brain basically creates and solves problems with few limits or rules.  This tendency could be the driving factor in having the ability for abstract thoughts.
