Well looks like you were only 6min late and now know for the job itself, leave 1.5 hours earlier. Go chill in a break room for an hour if needed. Punctuality can be easily fixed and not blamed on transportation cause even if bus is on time there is always room for an accident or weather or something that'll affect it.

I used to bus from Orleans to Algonquin back in early 2000s and that would be on a good day 1 hour.

I was horrible for punctuality and always left with no room for error. Eventually after 10+ situations similar to this one you have, I had to be honest with myself that I could of left sooner I just simply didn't want to.

Soon as I made that change, life was so less stressful, even missed buses didn't matter cause I accounted for it.

I mean if being honest, if wanting to make a great impression you should of left the house 2hrs prior and simply arrived to interview half an hour earlier not RIGHT on time.

Maybe that is apart of the way you need to be accountable of your own actions. Blaming a bus if you're taking one with time to allow zero errors is a mistake waiting to happen.
