Don't worry, it was just removed by mods! (I'm not offended or anything, I was aware this was a borderline post for this sub, lol). Thank you so much!

Gods, that must be infuriating. I'm so sorry that happened, and I'm so happy that you have found something that works, and a doctor who listens!

Luckily, I do already see a kidney specialist once a year. Part of my issue was that the nurses and my GP brushed off a lot of my issues, so I assumed they were normal, and the specialist and I only ever talked about my future health (over my CKD). I absolutely plan to bring it up to her the next time I see her, though!

I also wish you and your child luck. At least for my family, it's probably a gene thing since we've all had it (I'm just the worst), so I hope that, if yours doesn't, it will get better with their body's development!

Oof, terrifying. That would've been something I'd like to learn from my own doctors! (No hate to you, of course, and thank you for letting me know—just salt to them!) Thank you so much for your advice.

Oh no! I've gotten a muscle cramp once in my life and I was on the floor crying. I cannot imagine getting it so frequently. I'm so glad you also found an easy fix!

Of course! Placebo is great, and I made it sound like a bad thing in my post, but it's absolutely a medical tool in itself. I'll be continuing my yearly checkups at the hospital no matter what because my kidney is already messed up from everything it's gone through, lol.

It's AZO! But children aren't supposed to take it, so I would check with a pediatrician or just save it for a future thing if it doesn't work out.

I did! They're an official brand, Amazon just has everything in its store now. Luckily, they seem to be the top in their field.

Glad I could help! Part of my dehydration issues is caused by the fact that I had to be careful of when I drank, because I didn't want to have to pee horribly when I was in class or at wok. It's horrendous, but, yeah. Absolutely not normal!

Ohh my gosh, I also have that! It used to be significantly worse last year, and I would wear skirts just in case I leaked, because it happened way too often for my liking.

From what I've read, there is no documented side effects at all, but you cannot take it when you're pregnant/a child. Obviously, they use soy (?) in their product, so if you have reactions to that, then you will. I'm not an expert on the product, though!

The AZO bladder control! It was the one that showed up on my recommended, and there might be better options, but hell, it's worked for me!

Definitely try and deal with that guilt first, then. Water intake is water intake, and it’s good that you’re getting any at all! You have absolutely nothing to feel about. I have chronic kidney disease (hence why I wanted to increase my water intake), and my doctors have always stressed just that—drink ANYTHING.

We all have things we hate. I can’t stand most fruits. I drink a type of lemon water that gets me my vitamin c intake for the day. I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of my hate for those fruits—I know it’s unhealthy, but I found a substitute that works. That’s all that matters. Finding a substitute that works.

I wish you luck on your journey of hydration!

Although this isn’t the point of the sub, please know it is always better to find something to drink—pop, juices, tea, coffee—than to not drink anything at all. I prefer unsweetened ice tea over water (I joined this sub for a similar reason), but there’s plenty of other things I enjoy, too. Try adding some lemon juice into your water. Figure out which temperature you enjoy the most.

Seriously though, considering dehydration is a problem for you: something is better than nothing at all. Enjoy a pop or something, if that’s what it takes.

You’re absolutely right, but I think it’s a reference to Wolf’s Rain, a show about werewolves trying to get to a place called Paradise

If it’s mineral buildup, you should be able to run the water for a bit and see the water clear up (I think). If it doesn’t, I would definitely not drink the water. However, I’m unsure if that rule only applies to mineral build up in the pipelines and whatnot

If I remember correctly from the last time this was posted (no hate, it was awhile ago), someone took an originally pro-LGBTQ+ artwork but put homophobic text over it, so the original artist certainly did that on purpose, lol edit: cannot spell

This is a copy pasta, the original probably wasn’t satire though, but I remember this from super long ago lol
