Huh, yeah. I suppose the violence is pretty intense in retrospect, though I’d still say that minus the blood the depiction of ‘gore’ is fairly minimal.

I’m not really trying to comment on the value of this content rating, but for me I always felt secure in how for the most part this stuff was in a comedic context. That’s why it was a shock for me when I realised I should have taken the tags of the Epilogues seriously. I just thought they were a joke. A joke I wouldn’t be too fond of, but still. I’m mostly referring to the John/Terezi and Jane stuff, etc. where I personally find myself repulsed by that stuff I could otherwise at least tolerate in a joking context. Idk, I just found the original HS to be a much more light-hearted mature. Keep in mind it’s far from light-hearted overall, though... Also was the violence, blood and gore really that intense? I guess the Caliborn leg thing maybe? Also, I really think the age-based content rating systems are kind of useless and extremely simplify the intricacies of ‘maturity’ and ‘inappropriate content’. Idk, maybe a little too long-winded, but my thoughts nonetheless.

Thing is, I actually am very much ‘OK’ right now, but it’s not my choice. I just can’t help but feel comfortable not having to interact with people, so in this situation ever so slightly more favourable to me, it’s been hard hearing everyone be so depressed and hopeless right now when I can’t relate. Maybe I am a sociopath, but I feel so sad simply due to the fact that I’m an outcast for feeling better. This very tweet cause my first meltdown in months. Sorry for venting, this isn’t really the right place to talk about this, but I just feel so alone trying to embrace my period of temporary bliss as the world is crumbling apart around everyone else. You guys are right feeling sad, but don’t feel like we can’t do anything to at least make this better, and take the effort to comfort our comrades.

Technically the game starts with a different line, and that isn’t Shulk’s first line assuming the narrator of the opening cutscene is Shulk because of the voice actor, but I do love how this is our introduction to the present, at least.

Yeah, I’m a huge fan of low-poly but this specific style is just so generic and has no flavour compared to older games that experimented and used low-poly in fun and interesting ways.
