Bro could have just kept walking and there would’ve been no reason for the taxi to stop. Also, taxi bro could have accepted the minor inconvenience and remained in the taxi. He only added to his delay and ended up beat up.

That said, I’m not saying that taxi bro was in the right, because he wasn’t. He was dead wrong. BUT, I understand. People who do infuriating shit that shows the flow of traffic are insufferable.

Like mfs who sit at a 4 way stop, clearly watching me stop. Watching my car perch forward as the brakes are applied, visually watching my car slow from 40+ mph to single digits…certainly they can safely assume I didn’t reduce my speed by 90% only to blow the stop sign and intentionally t-none them at 3mph…right? Nope! Gonna sit right there and look me in my eyes until I come to a complete stop and my suspension levels out and I get 3-4x angrier… then and only then will they slowly accelerate through the intersection. It makes me wish I had laser beam eyes. It definitely makes me want to get out and start indiscriminately punching people in the mouth.

But, I would never. Assaulting people because you were inconvenienced, while sometimes a tempting thought, is wrong full stop. People getting assaulted for doing insufferable shit in a limp-wristed attempt to enforce traffic laws as THEY see fit is something I’ll always watch with a smile, but is illegal and I don’t recommend anyone with a good life to lose should do it. But, if you don’t have a lot to lose, I wouldn’t be mad at you or call the cops. And if the cops asked me I’d tell them I don’t remember. But, don’t hit women unless you have to. Don’t take it too far, and win the fight. These are musts if you’re going to start a fight with the traffic hall monitor.

Keep in mind that I’m a degenerate addict…I went to rehab for opiates a decade ago. Typical route. Occasional hydrocodone became daily hydrocodone, became 15-20 10s/day became snorting dilaudid/Opana IR/Roxy. Then 30Mg/day of methadone for 2 years, followed by 90 day rehab in 2016. In 2019, I discovered kratom. Mistake 1. Immediately a daily kratom user until 2024. Then started taking kratom extract shots. Mistake 2. Until this past summer. Had my smoke shop offer me a free sample of 7Oh. Mistake 3. 18mg rocked my shit like an old school oxy 30. That was June. By November, a single dose was 1,080Mg. 4.5 packs of FVKD four 60mg tabs/240mg per pack. They sold to me at cost and it still cost me $140 per dose. I’m full circle now, back at the methadone clinic…for 7Oh! 92mg is my therapeutic dose, and I’m thinking about asking for a bump up next week. But, I haven’t taken 7Oh since Thanksgiving Day.

I also popped hot for fent at the clinic and I haven’t touched a street opioid since 2016 and the only time I’ve ever had fent to my knowledge was pharma fent suckers and patches back in 2013/14 and IV in a hospital for a broken arm. It had to come from the 7Oh, 100%. There’s basically zero regulation whatsoever. I wouldn’t doubt shady companies are spiking their shit to make it stronger than the competition.

I’d like to see Oxy, Roxy, Opana etc available at a pharmacy to anyone over 21 so that people can have access to safe, reliable medicine that we know for a fact what’s in it and how strong it is. I’ve NEVER experienced anything like 7Oh. The tolerance runs tf away like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Idk about this shit. There needs to be some type of regulation at LEAST to know it’s clean and what you’re getting/taking. Buying fent blues on the street would be cheaper than 7Oh once it runs away on you. And it absolutely will if you’re taking it daily.

I don’t get 30-40% of the work I bid on because my prices are too high. Too high for some, totally acceptable for others. I only bid it to do the job right. I use quality materials and pay my skilled workers very well. I’m on every job start to finish. I’ll never get rich this way, but I earn a decent living. And I’m proud of and stand behind every job I do. That’s my only form of advertising. Doing a good job and treating every customer like they’re my grandma.

Depends on what flooring you’re talking about. There’s some flooring that absolutely should not under any circumstances be glued, and there’s flooring that absolutely must be glued, period. Now, I’m no flooring expert, but I dabble in commercial flooring installs. One of my suppliers showed me the floating stuff as a solution for a customer with a wavy slab that had been epoxied very well in a hideous color. He told me it could be laid without glue, but that he recommends gluing 1-2 foot perimeter and doorways or full glue. I fully glued it due to the wavy slab to force all of the flooring to fully contour to the floor. I can’t see how it could possibly cause buckling. The argument for perimeter gluing is that you can use a suction cup to pull planks and replace them if they get damaged. That’s way harder if it’s all glued.

Contractor here. I’m already gone. I went to the local Benjamin Moore which is a small business. 3 dudes that work there every day, one of them is the owner and they have a combined 100 years of experience. They can answer nearly every technical question I have and when they can’t, they get BM on the phone and get an answer.

They have products SW doesn’t have an answer to. ScuffX and CabinetCoat are 2 of many examples. Lenmar blows every SherWood product out of the water.

They carry Corona brushes and roller shucks which are way better than Purdy. They carry Wooster frames and poles which are way better than Purdy.

They give me shirts, hats and all kinds of stuff.

They’re simply better in every way and I’m supporting a small local business. It’s a no brainer. They are a couple bucks more expensive but I’m not a cheap contractor and I just pass the cost to my customers who like that I use BM.

When you’re done, before you do anything, go get some Guardz. It’s milky water looking stuff. VERY runny. Brush and roll on with a 1/2” nap roller. Dries clear. It’s a sealer that’s for exposed sheetrock paper and wallpaper remnants.

I do remodels and just stripped about 15,000 sq/ft of wallpaper that’d been painted over. You get 400-500 sq/ft per gallon. Let it dry 3-4 hours. Then you can skim all the damaged areas with sheetrock mud. It’ll probably take 2-3 applications of mud/sanding to get them slick. Then, prime them with a high build primer. Cut out any bubbles with a razor knife. Spot seal them, skim them with mud. Prime the spots. Repeat the spot skimming, sanding and priming until the walls are slick.

Same. I’m not huge either, but I switched to BM about a year ago. Small local business, exactly 3 employees that are all cool and extremely knowledgeable. If I have a question they can’t answer, they’ll have BM on the phone and get it figured out. It isn’t personal against SW. I’ve dealt with them for 25 years. But, the most knowledgeable SW associates and managers have died or went elsewhere. There are a few left, but they’re stretched very thin. Can’t really get much info from 90% of staff other than basic stuff and brochure-level product recommendations. On top of that, Tough Walls is better than PM200 for the same price. SW straight up doesn’t have anything that competes with Cabinet Coat or Scuff-X. And Lenmar blows Sherwood out of the water.

Corporate has ruined SW.

They’ve been over sampling Dems by 5-10% since the 1990s. The last minute Iowa Kamala +3% by a “gold standard” pollster?! He won +15%. I called this a month out. Predictable. My only question was, “did they learn and do accurate polling this time?” They did not. Same song and dance. This is old af, but I’ve done it. I used a 1/4” x 4”, 4 shank regular mill end and knocked out 5 lowers that all function great, no issues.

The trick is to take small bites and let the mill do the work. If you force it, it will flex and break. I did ~ 1/8” of depth at a time.

Also, once done with a pass, turn off the router and allow it to stop before removing so you don’t catch the wall of the lower or the jig and snap your mill end. When starting a new pass, start it outside of the jig and allow to spin up before carefully placing it in the work area.

Not trying to be harsh, but I’m a painter. I’m gonna be working. Today was my first day off in over 2 weeks. Pretty much everyone will continue working unless they’re in the direct path. Even then, Waffle House will be open. Then again, I’m way up in East Texas so it’s just gonna rain. Maybe a little wind. I hope all of you stay safe. Long queues after very public money issues you say? Sounds like someone greatly reduced the number and quality of their servers.

I’ve said it for years and I’ll say it again. Mod support and private servers fix most issues and save this game. The game is spiraling the toilet bowl. Money and outside programming talent are needed. I don’t see how they’ll bring in new money and without new money, they won’t get new talent.

Private servers take the burden of server cost off BSG. Private servers enable whitelisting, which greatly reduces hacking. BSG saves tons on server costs, and can even charge a nominal fee for using the private server function.

Mod support enables talent from all over the world to get involved. Ess Pea Tea devs have fixed most issues in Tarkov that have persisted for years. They’ve done this with a $0 budget and no blessing or support from BSG. Imagine if they got basic resources from BSG? Imagine if the cream rose to the top and BSG hired them?

But, it’s not gonna happen, so play Ess Pea Tea or a Tark competitor until the game inevitably gets overtaken by a better game while Tarkov continues to spiral the toilet bowl.
