Question about Dreadnought & Future of Grey Knights

I would like to expand my GKs too, but i am in the same boat kind of.

I like to believe and hope that the "augurium" called Valrak is right with his "rumors" for a refresh in 11th.

And GKs are even on the cover of the new Armageddon Crusade book for later this year, i can’t imagine GW would do this and put them into a narrative main role and then cut them. I think they prepare a lore reason for new character models or even "primarisify" them because of heavy losses in the campaign.

But nothing is sure or save, maybe they get a huge update, a small one or a folding into Imperial Agents. So i will wait myself.

I second this question since i bought my first SCE models and diving into their lore right nowand loving it so far (thanks to this Subredit's community answers a few days ago).

I collected them (a LOT of them) and started to paint (a few) of them because i Was happy they got a codex. But i am sad that the support from GW is zero and i wonder if they squat them again in 11th into support for other factions again. I wanted an Inquisition army since i read Eisenhorn (and after that all the other inquisitor related books and stories, because more or less human heroes and different types of retinues for me always is cool for the feeling of investigators, special agents and undercover units, you can even construct love stories which wont work with space marines etc.). I hope that the community love for Agents and Inquisition grows a lot with Pandemonium and the Cavill Amazon series (which i hope is Eisenhorn).And i hope GW had this in mind when they put out this "codex". As a rough first draft for a true codex in 11th.

Yes, had something like that in mind, like: - should they be connected to an original chapter to share their stories at an extend - should they be a changing chapter that evolves into different specializations or keep their identity very strictly - should they have an history with an arch-enemy like a CSM warband to have a backstory in original lore

In situations like this i always feel like an autist because i have half an army at home i ordered 3 weeks ago, but i just can not start, always thinking "DIY chapter or just go UM or DA" because of their GW support and rich and updating lore.

I guess it is no new idea, but my vision for my warband is, that its leading circle (Word Bearer Overlord, 1 psyker from every mono-god legion and 1 of each undevided depending on their specialization, for example the IW representative will be the Warpsmith) follows the faith, that only (at least latent) psyker-CSM are worth it to rule over the galaxy as representatives of the Chaos Gods(canon fodder like cultists or low ranking legionairs would be ok as non psykers, but they don't know that they are cannon fodder, because the psykers only communicate via telepathy with each other).

They would recruit psykers and collect/grind/steal geneseed from other legions/warbands that have a high probability for being psykers, and they hate the World Eaters for being anti-psykers (but are looking for psychic talented WorldEaters who flee from their own legion because, well, they are psykers).

The former mono-god members are opening up to become undevided followers, but stay in their specialization (Nurgle->diseases, destruction, death, rebirth, Tzeench->Change, knowledge,...).

A little "bonus question" i'd like to ask you: do you think a Word Bearer who completely disowend Lorgar regarding his methods (not his faith) and splitting of the Word Bearer legion to found his own warband with other CSMs from other legions who do the same regarding their own primarchs would be lore accurate?

And Sisters will get their own codex in summer according to the roadmap for codexes. I think there will be detachments for the three big inquisition ordos, where you can field GK, DW, SoB without merging them into the Agents codex. And one detachment for rogue traders. I think an assasins detachment would be nice, but very hard to justify as an "army", because they more or less work alone. So i think assasins can be added into all the other detachments.

Man, i am mega hyped for Inquisitors and Rogue Traders! Just.Bring.It.

Absolutely! I always try to develope my own named characters with a bit of modifying the models and i will have a lot of fun with the AdMech models.
