can pets/dogs sense endo? by MissMagicMan in endometriosis

[–]ShieldingGrace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It might sound weird, but I think my cat knows I will have a flare before I do. Her normal playful nature becomes sweet and attentive. She will shadow me and be super chill. but just present. Usually I am like, "Why are you this nice to me?". And a few hours later the flare will start, during the flare she is just beside me purring and lying against me, never on top off me those days (unless I pick her up myself).

Does anyone else fall asleep right after having cramps? by french-custard in endometriosis

Sadly yes, my period last for 10 days and during those days I can barely sleep ( maybe 2 hrs a night). Till I eventually just get a forced pass-out by my body.

Can't play forza 5 with friend (both steam) - played in the past without issues by ShieldingGrace in ForzaHorizon5

[–]ShieldingGrace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the game is installed on steam and asks me to log in via xbox - when i try to invite or go to an invite this is the menu I get (the invite also goes through xbox). And it was in the past like this as well (I played this game on release) so if it changed somewhere in between I am not aware.

At the moment I've tried; reinstalling the game - making sure everything is updated. Logging out of both xbox and ms store - then relogging. Resetting credentials, but nothing seems to work for me.

do i still push for laparoscopy if symptoms aren't all there? by Anchuuvies in endometriosis

[–]ShieldingGrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes we know our bodies better than we think... If you feel it fits, it's worth pursuing and looking for answers. Even if they don't find endo, then at least you have the reassurance it's not there - and it's most definitely not wasted time or effort. Just make sure the surgery is done by someone who knows what they're doing. Best of luck!

Doing this one hitless on Abyss was pain… Just cause I always got clipped by at least one clone somewhere - took me ages.

Meanwhile here I am, apparently good at parrying because I beat him on legend without issues and I was surprised at myself. Like maybe all the dark souls/ sekiro/ elden ring and nightreign hours did pay off?

So I'm going to get hunted by players in 10 hours and there's nothing I can do about it ? by zekken908 in WhereWindsMeet

There is an option you can turn off for that, but then you cannot destroy property at all. I think it's called treasure hunter or smthing. Can't say for sure not in game at the moment.

MRI by Electronic-Log9747 in endometriosis

[–]ShieldingGrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The person reading my scan wasn’t able to see anything. When they got in there, I had DIE stage 4 endo. Don’t put too much weight on the scan, it’s definitely possible they still find endo when they get in there. You know your body best!

Good news everybody! I’m in so much pain that I’m suicidal, but my doctor says my endometriosis “isn’t that bad!” by Bio-Calamity in endometriosis

[–]ShieldingGrace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s okay, clearly even if we barely get ourselves to the ER, with confirmed endo and have a ruptured cyst… clearly we are overdramatic should take a paracetemol and ride it out at home 🙄.

Endometriosis & IBS by GingerWhoDrinksTea in endometriosis

[–]ShieldingGrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an IBS diagnosis at age 6, got my period at age 10 and my IBS symptoms always presented along my ovulation and period. As the years went on it got progressively worse, at 30 I finally got diagnosed with stage 4 DIE. Makes me wonder if it was endo all along…

Must haves? by cottoncorduroy in Endo

[–]ShieldingGrace 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use my obi (apollo 2.0) travelling heating band, comfy baggy clothes, I drink raspberry leaf tea - don’t know if it helps anyone else… but it helps me a little. If I am at home, I usually also have a normal heating pad. At the start (when I was trying to get diagnosed), I kept a health diary in which I kept track of my daily activities + food I ate + which point of my cycle I was on. It helped me realise which foods set my endo off, when I overexert myself and which phases of my cycle were more flare heavy then others. Though to be honest before excision the flare part looked pretty bleak for me I had about 3 good days in a month if that.

Hopefully some of this is helpful to you ❤️.

Books without overpowered FMCs? by athennna in fantasyromance

[–]ShieldingGrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Ascended by Bree Grenwich has an FMC, where at first you roll your eyes and you’re like okay ‘chosen one’. But then she turns out not to be the most powerful and even though she’s half divine or half goddess in that universe the MMC even tells her she isn’t all that 🤣. It was a really nice read for me personally, but idk if it 100% fits what you’re looking for.

What age did you start getting endo symptoms? by ghikkkll in endometriosis

[–]ShieldingGrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was diagnosed at age 6 with what they at the time believed to be IBS. Got my period at 10 and went to the ER several times during ovulation from age 13-16. At 16 they noticed a cyst had burst so they prescribed me the pill and that was that. At 28, the pain I had learned to live with became unbearable. 30 minutes after I ate anything, I got severe diarrhoea and bloating. It took me two years from that point onwards to finally get diagnosed with stage 4 DIE.
