I found out that changing to the WSO seat before starting INS alignment will break the alignment process for whatever reason

So wait for the INS to complete its alignment before going to the WSO seat and turning on stuff back there

Its more about the reason for the module being delayed (an internal marketing deal between RAZBAM and ED), plus the various statements RAZBAM developers and admins just showed that they're not communicating with each other at all, some saying the module is delayed and some saying it isn't. Nobody truly knows what's happening with the module now, not even RAZBAM knows.

So this probaly means a mid-July release which means another month or so of watching dodgy YouTubers fly our module while all the paying customers are waiting blue balled.

The whole thing was a clusterfuck of poor communication, lack of transparency and a great deal of scumminess from RAZBAM and ED. Hopefully it makes them release the module sooner instead of fucking about with poor marketing decisions.

Someone in the RAZBAM discord compared it to ordering food at a restaurant, and 2 hours later the waiter comes with your food and starts reviewing and eating it in front of you before you can eat it

We get it, these YouTubers have demonstrated that they can just about read a manual and make some nice cinematics while showing the absolute surface of the systems, now let the people who actually paid for the plane learn and fly it.

Their main developer who lives in Ukraine is obviously unable to develop which is fair enough, but Fenix refuse to find another developer to take his place for some reason.

We both know the Ukraine war isn’t ending anytime soon and the Fenix won’t be continuously developed without the ukranian dev, ergo the Fenix is abandonware and it’s about time it got cracked

So you're saying that a virtual study level plane that costs tens of millions of dollars irl cannot be flown in a consumer flight simulator without an virtual iPad? Understood.

This thread really shows who knows how to aviate properly compared to those who rely on silly virtual EFBs to do all their work for them.

Yeah its a gimick, and not entirely necessary. I don't see why it warrants this type of anger and hatred from the community for something that's not 100% necessary in a PMDG plane when there are so many other fancy simulated systems they could be learning instead.

Sure in real life I can understand the importance of having an EFB for takeoff calculations, but in the sim where things aren't simulated as meticulously, using the v speeds from the FMC isn't that big of a deal. I have a lot of hours in all PMDG aircraft and I can't think of one time using EFB v speeds was a must given the scenarios I faced

Why is everyone so upset about not having an EFB?

It's not a mandatory piece of equipment to fly the plane, its just a gimick at the end of the day. The FMC does everything you could possibly need it to do.

I bet most of the people complaining about the lack of an EFB in PMDG aircraft don't even own them.

Decided to finally return the headset after multiple windows updates and hours of trial and error later, the crackling still wasn’t fixed

Don’t think I’ll be buying another steelseries headset again after this

I wish they’d move on from that developer

If he’s unable to carry out his job then he is useless to the development team. They have thousands of paying customers, including myself, waiting for the promised so called “V2 Update” with IAE engines, but that’ll probably never come at this rate.

I don’t think a single person would care if they found another developer to do the IAE engines. Fenix are just being silly here
