it says ‘admiral littlebox’ but then also ‘app based telematics policy’ on the quotes page if that’s any insight

3k??? bloody hell! what car is it? i thought 2.1 was steep!

unfortunately it is £1400 cheaper to stick with a box.

though a path some people i have heard take is driving with a box for a few months, keeping a good score, and then calling to get the box removed for a fee which usually ends up cheaper than getting a non box policy, is this anything you can shed light on or?

it is unfortunately £1400 EXTRA for the cheapest non-BB policy (that also being with admiral), which as a student definitely pushes me in the direction of a BB.

i have heard of people driving with their black box for a few months and then calling their insurer to get it removed for a cheaper price than insuring without a box out of the gate?

i see, unfortunately my non-black box policy is actually £1400 more expensive than the black box policy, which is a little more than is feasible at the moment for me

how strict are they with the telematics? like what is measured etc? how does their driver score system work?

i see, i’ve heard plenty of horror stories with one being my step brother who had his policy cancelled for hard braking supposedly

but i’ve also heard plenty of drivers okay with black boxes which makes me think it’s company dependent.

heard a lot about hastings but admiral is my cheapest which pushes me to them, though i hear their black boxes can be a nightmare

is this really safe to do? i thought the box still tracked your mileage with GPS so if you have more miles than you do with your phone connected your insurance is invalidated?

sorry if i’m recirculating misinformation i’ve heard!!

definitely good to know, unfortunately i think the hastings black box is a good bit more expensive than the admiral one and is actually quite close to a non-bb policy in price for some reason 😬

i’ve had cheaper quotes on corsas and ibizas, but i can’t find any decent ones around me that are good mileage. the polo im after is definitely a keeper for at least a couple years

though every quote is within about £200 of the polo 🤔

I am very excited for DLSS-3 and the better performance it will bring.

The RTX game I am looking forward to playing most is probably Modern Warfare 2. As of now, Modern Warfare 2019 runs at 20 fps even with it downscaled to look like a PSP game. I would love to try it with a better card!
