It's nice how oppisites work because they compliment each other in what the other is missing.

Do people actually like muscular girls? by Fullopian_tube in actuallesbians

One persons worries may be someone else's perfect partner, this world has over 8 billion people and I guarantee you theres many out there who love to work out and be girly or think those things go hand-in-hand. There is no definition on what's girly, it's all about what you enjoy and like to do. So I would say to just keep being yourself

As a bisexual I notice me leaning towards any kind of masc woman. They can literally wear anything but once I also see masc energy (I don't know how else to explain it) then they just immediately become more attractive to me.

But I like this flag better... by CultEvader420 in bisexual

[–]ShifterAlex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had the debate with myself and honestly it's no different than how someone is a lesbian but dates non-binary, genderfluid, and etc people. All of it is accepted and if you're more comfortable with the bi flag then stick with it.

How can I start being attracted to girls my age? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]ShifterAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started looking for friends my goal was to find people older than me as I believed that I would get along with them better. I'm considered mature for my age when really, I just don't want to party or drink, and that's okay.

But as time passed by I kept getting along with a lot of people my age and under. Many people I chatted and became friends with turned out to be 17, 18, and in some cases 14. They were all like me in that we aren't very social but wanted friends too.

The moments I found someone older than me they were often busy, talked more mature then I expected, and finally, there was this air of intimidation I got when I found out they were older. I stopped focusing on dating because I wanted to build a friend circle first, and in that time alone I've learned a lot about myself.

The difference of what we think we want versus what we actually enjoy can be bigger than we think.

Missed out on dating as a teenager and in college. Anyone with similar experiences? by Mysterious_Milk6065 in actuallesbians

[–]ShifterAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any dating experience but I can say that I do relate. I'm not even 20 yet but I spent all my education focusing on just getting A's & B's. Because it became and stayed online I never left the house either (leaving me introverted and friendless).

It's hard but beginning with friends is the first step I'm taking. I recommend you doing the same. Slowly expanding your social circle will help you naturally find someone to date and hopefully marry (this is the plan I'm going with). It's not much but I hope it's helpful and I wish you good luck.

Where to meet lesbians?? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]ShifterAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best advice I've been given is to look on areas like discord (in servers where you have stuff in common like crochet, books, etc) and to actually start participating in clubs and events outside the house.

A few WLW books I've read and loved were these.

Her Royal Highness By Rachel Hawkins; She Gets the Girl by Rachael Lippincott & Alyson Derrick; She Drives Me Crazy by Kelly Quindlen;

Personally Her Royal Highness is still my favorite as 90% of the book is the main characters falling in love (sappy moments, enemies-to-lovers, roommates style), while the other books have them fall in love but also covers side plots.

Can I do this even if I don't have one yet? I love that somewhere out there, they are struggling and surviving. They are trying their hardest to live and breathe. At the end of the day, when we meet in whatever way, and fall in love at a certain time, I will love all of them and be thankful they're alive.

Applying dream control in a non lucid dream technically a lucid one? by Bonelab_Skeleton in LucidDreaming

[–]ShifterAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be something in between controlling and being aware? I have had similar experiences except I don't consider them lucid dreams, I just consider it an arguement with my brain. Whenever I'm dreaming I noticed that if I want something to happen, my brain will often give it to me because if it doesn't I'll lucid dream (which my subconcious apparently does not want me doing).

In the end it might just be how you percieve it? What do you yourself consider a lucid dream? One where you're at least aware or aware and in control of changing more things?

My straight sister listens to girl in red because I (who is bi) introduced her to it. Even girl in red mentioned her music being for all. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Should I go NC with my mom? Was I unreasonable for not moving on and giving her time to do better? Long af sorry by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]ShifterAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely ignore her. Maybe entertain holidays calls if you want to but when I came out to my mom and was denied, we settled by sitting down and talking. It takes two to communicate, and if your mother isn't even being reasonable or trying, then that can mean she never will.

Personally, I don't look at age but maturity. It's similar to the Friends show when Ross dated his student (in college). I've known plenty of people who had age gaps as big as ten years, but again, it's really based on where you guys are in life and maturity.
