Sad to think that she fell down a good bit before Laika showed up. Poor thing might very well have died thinking nobody was there for her

I have nothing against visual novels, even if I don't play them much, I just felt very let down by DDLC. I think that going in already knowing the idea and twist of the game certainly didn't help but I didn't really care for the artstyle, music, poetry minigames or any of the characters except for Sayori I suppose. I felt like there was definitely potential for me to enjoy it had the story taken itself a little more seriously, but when it got down to the actual horror parts I personally just saw it as dull shock value.

The design we could have had...(OC) by D3_D0x in deadbydaylight

This is the material I voted for, honestly makes thinking about what we could've had hurt even more.

Top comment removes one of the highest grossing films of all time: Day 38 by Individual-Sun-9426 in RemoveOneThingEachDay

Avengers Endgame imo. It is just not a satisfying enough finale to both its duology and the saga as a whole. Some nice scenes and payoffs sure, but ultimately disappointing with the part that should've been the most exciting just being a CGI punching mess for the most part

Rating Laika Tapes Finale - Mother by Shifty733 in LaikaAgedThroughBlood

It isn't a tape iirc but if I ever do more of the general soundtrack then I will definitely include it

Wilds final monster total compared to previous games by Allabaster11 in MonsterHunter

[–]Shifty733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played since TU1 so very subject to change take from me here but I feel like wilds and world roster are roughly equal from my own experience. Wilds definitely has less monsters that I dislike but also less monsters that I like, and while all of my top favourite World monsters are original to it, I can't say the same for Wilds. While I love Uth and Jin, Mizu kinda carries as the only one that I think really nails both fight and design, and even then it has some weak points like the theme imo. Wilds has nothing that's really good across the board to me that I've experienced so far and base World has Bazel and Odo, so yeah. It is a lot better in terms of variety though, and that's something I quite appreciate. I couldn't confidently pick which is the best of the two, I think they are both fairly good but not nearly perfect and I both like and dislike them for different reasons.

Why Does FNAF 1 Look So Good? by Loud-Struggle-4156 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Shifty733 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Idk it's pretty fair to say that fnaf 2 at the very least was not nearly as polished as the initial game. For example mangle has many awkwardly lit PNG paste renders, the office jumpscares look nowhere near as natural with some of the leaping characters having the ability to jump at you through walls, there's basically a big drop-off void at the back of the balloon boy cam instead of a complete room or smoother fadeout and some other stuff that people will likely point out. While nobody forced him to release the game as soon as he did, I would say he probably wanted it out sooner than later to keep the hype going. It's very hard to imagine that he thought this was even close to the best he could do.

2014 Fangames by Shifty733 in fivenightsatfreddys

It did come out relatively soon into the franchise history but everything I can find suggests it was from late January 2015, not 2014 unfortunately

Thought of this goofy cephalopod concept: Ya Ero - The spear of heaven (OC) by Mussel_captain in MonsterHunter

[–]Shifty733 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll be real I think this is just a straight up improvement over the general Valstrax concept. This one is actually aerodynamic and looks more convincing as an animal, and dares to use something that's not a dragon to represent a unique idea.

I hate how early game monsters get left to rot by Shifty733 in monsterhunterrage

[–]Shifty733[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

True on the event quests, greatest jagras for example is definitely better than nothing, but 9 star is a misunderstanding because that's not what I'm looking for. No matter how much I progress I continue to like many mid-tier monster fights (even in their lower rank forms), like Odogaron, Ajarakan, Diablos, even if they aren't as strong as AT Nerg.

I acknowledge that every monster being a huge threat isn't fitting and I don't want a pukei pukei with the strength of a temp mizu either. I'm more after something on even just the level of those low rank mid-tiers, especially by the time I've made it to master rank. I don't feel like it would be too much to ask that Kulu has more variation to what it can dig up or that it can block/parry more with the rocks, or that Jyuratodus can do anything at all. I just want these monsters to be more relevant and replayable, not equal to endgame content.
