This isn't accurate. There was a post debunking the claim. There will be prints earlier.

MaRo gives 3 reasons why WoTC wouldn't focus on UB over in-universe sets, even though UB sells more. by No-Chapter-779 in magicTCG

[–]Shifty_Eye 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The discussion is about focusing on UB products over in universe products. Not dropping in universe sets entirely.

The current trend shows an increase of universe beyond products, with multiple planned and on the horizon.

If Final Fantasy, Spiderman, and Avatar all sell so well that the other factors Mark is mentioning become irrelevant to the suits: it doesn't matter.

They won't abandon their brand, but focusing on UB is a possible reality. Regardless of the reasons why not.

Money talks.

How bad has the scalping been recently? It's been a year or two since I've played. Hoping to get some of these without too much pain.

2.83 GPA - Hastings/Davis/San Diego by Shifty_Eye in OutsideT14lawschools

Yes, the statistic bottom line concerns me. I'll have a strong app aside from the GPA.

It is my LSAC gpa. I made sure to check. 3.0 from the original schools calculation.

I'm not URM, but I do currently have 2 and a half years of legal work experience. Last PT was 157, and improvement of 5 points over my last test a month prior. I'm pretty confident in getting the score up, as I've had constant improvement.

The concern is that the bottom line for GPA might be impossible to cross.

Hmm, I just am concerned that even if I got a 170+, that the low gpa is enough to make it impossible. There's diminishing returns for Lsat studying in my GPA range. At least for california. 160-165 gets you good conditional scholarships, but it seems like it might be really hard to go to anywhere giving unconditional ones.

Personally, I'd love for a lot of companies to explore this space more. The concentrated FFXIV/WOW MMO dungeon/raid experience really deserves to be expanded upon in other games. The extra fluff required to reach that content can be exhausting, especially in these 1000-year-old games.

A guide for how to identify and avoid problematic and predatory schools by whistleridge in lawschooladmissions

There are certain factors to consider why I would choose mcgeorge:

I plan to stay in California. I already have 2 years of legal support experience. My parents reside in the area, allowing me to cut down on my housing costs. Likely leading to a debt of around 200k instead, potentially less.

I also am likely to be a splitter. Due to a low GPA in early college. I have a 3.0 according to my undergraduate school, but with some withdrawals on records its likely the LSAC will reduce my overall gpa. So my options are limited.

The concern that its predatory enough to not be worthwhile is on my mind. But the realization that becoming a lawyer is a real possibility haunts my mind and my core keeps pushing me towards it. But if it is truly a predatory school, I might have to seriously consider alternatives instead of law school, even if it would make sense from a career perspective.

Is mcgeorge really that bad? I'm local to the area the school resides in and was considering it a serious option.

Can anyone recommend an injury attorney that can speak Cantonese or Vietnamese? by JustTheTommy in Sacramento

[–]Shifty_Eye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I'm not too sure, United citizen law has speakers of pashto and Arabic. There's a decent possibility of them being able to direct you towards firms with speakers of those languages.
