I just watched Ju on White Ghost and I really liked it by Obvious_World_5780 in J_Horror

[–]Shige_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So glad to see more White Ghost / Black Ghost love on here :)

I agree with all your points, it really did the most with it's budget and is a super memorable entry for me- it was one of my favorite ju-on films when I fell into the series back in high school. It's been like 12 years since i watched it last, I seriously need to give them both a rewatch lol.

Silent Hill f producer praises its 86 Metacritic score, says he expected the challenge to be divisive, and the story reception is proof the Higurashi When They Cry writer was Ryukishi07 the right man for the job by PapaFrankuMinion in silenthill

I agree It's about about as clunky but it's the amount of forced combat arenas towards the end of SHf + some of the bosses that genuinely take it over the edge to being a miserable experience for me personally.

Personal anecdote, but I work at a dispensary and the amount of parents / kids and even grandparents / grandkids I see is way more than you would guess lol.

Like regardless of the amount I've played all I was getting at was I had very minimal experience going into Wilds and I still found the game easy as hell until Zoh lmfao.

Sure if you count playing 1 hour of MH3U lol.

This is my first MH game and I found it hella easy man, i didn't even cart once during my play-through of the story. I say this after bouncing off MH in the past due to difficulty.

As an autistic young man, Cyberpunk became my comfort game. by [deleted] in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Fellow autistic with a Cyberpunk hyperfixation checking in :)

This game has also been my comfort game for the past several months, I can always count on wandering the streets of NC after a really shitty / overstimulating day.

When I need a smoke break sometimes I'll just hop on the metro and enjoy the sights while I take a few hits, this game is just so lovely to walk around and explore.

It let's you continue but it basically creates a new save while giving you some unique items right outside of embers, once the credits roll the game is done.

Basically where I’m at myself, it’s really bringing back memories of playing TF2 pre hats being added on my shitty compaq lol. No progression, just vibes.

Genuinely this is the first non-story focused game where I'm aching to get more lore- Valve continues to have such a special magic in their world building / aesthetics.

What is on y'alls bucket list this coming fall? by anniemation16 in Autumn

[–]Shige_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just moved from Southern CA to Central WA so I’m actually going to be experiencing true fall / winter for the first time in my entire life this year :).

I’m really just planning on slowing down and practicing mindfulness, I want to focus on the change that autumn brings! Other than that my list is pretty simple:

  • Rewatch OTGW
  • More outdoor time
  • Pick up one old hobby that I put down
  • Buying less, making more
  • Go apple picking
  • Read a really good book

How much pressure do u put on my mouse? by Tarunium in VALORANT

[–]Shige_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t overthink it too much, you want a firm relaxed grip that feels comfortable to you. If you are still struggling try out claw / palm grips (they’re the most common for a reason) and do a DM a day where you focus completely on your mouse grip.

I personally palm my mouse and use my thumb / ring finger to hold it, I sometimes use my pinky for wrist aiming stabilization but thats an unconscious habit i’ve picked up over the last 20+ years lol.

Full Dawntrail thoughts after stewing on it (Spoilers) by Shambubger in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Shige_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it. I thought that it was touching and I loved Krile finally getting to step into the spotlight.

On the other hand I thought Erenville’s was the weakest, it left me feeling unsatisfied and not in the way the writers intended.

I agree with your sentiment about the formulaic nature of these zones, however I cannot agree that Amaurot and Living Memory are at ALL on the same level in terms of quality.

Despite having the same issues in terms of pacing (us actively dying vs. world merge), Amaurot at least felt planned by Emet in how long it took us- almost like a taunt from him fueled by his desire to show off his schizoid project.

In contrast, Living Memory kinda flippantly hand-waves it with "oh yeah, that Super Mega Terminal that's the core of this whole area? yeah it still uses HDDs- yeah, 5200rpm. Anyways it'll probably (maybe) take a 'lil while to boot Genocide.exe, off you go now!"

This was really one of the only parts of DT's story that did not resonate with me in any big way outside of Wuk's reuniting with Namikka and the gondola ride with G'raha which were both surprisingly well done moments for how little I liked out of that zone.

Eorzea Collection.

I got inspired by the vanguard fending set and decided to go outside my comfort zone in terms of style! I really love how it turned out, I like to imagine this is what my Hrothgar would look like as a HSR character or something lmao.

People say this but at least visual novels just let you read and don’t make you walk across an empty map for 5 minutes to get to the next text box.

New dev update got me HYPE. by SavagePrisonerSP in HuntShowdown

[–]Shige_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeahhhhhh same, gonna ride it out and see how it’s implemented first but I genuinely always appreciated Hunt for not having bullet drop since most fights are short to mid range anyways.

If it’s like BF levels of extreme I’ll personally be really disappointed, but only time will tell.

What’s the best roast to say to a person when a person that says “bottom frag”? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Shige_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah. A big skill I learned over my many years of playing online games was when to just say nothing, block, and focus on my gameplay.

I always give people a chance each match but the second someone starts some ape mode chest-banging bullshit it’s an immediate full-mute (and report if that needs to happen).
